Really looking for a way to turn around a toxic building culture with staff to staff bullying, cliques/social isolation, hard feelings on big topics (racism, non acceptance of gender identity). Last year the staff polarized with the lead bully whom I helped leave. And the lead gossip (who was my secretary) that gained their sympathy and turned them against me. She also left. Had only one call with my TL in first two months. Few weeks later, on workday I noticed that my TL got reassigned. Contacted him and have setup regular catch-ups. He dropped a bomb that he is leaving and I will be reporting to partner. Partner is time poor and no feedback is offered. I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult. Is this normal?

How to handle working with someone who frustrates you immensely? I work with someone who is one level above me hierarchically and is an ultimate micromanager (not one agenda or recap can be without edits) and is rude about establishing that they have dominance. I racked up about $20k in credit card debt due to a confluence of things happening at once (move, school expenses , etc ). I have a fair amount of paper assets but not a much free cash. Assets are down a decent amount with the current market cycle and I’d prefer not to sell them to cover the debt , although they easily could. I spent two years as an executive, and while I was providing what I believe was impactful work, and receiving praises across the board, I got fired from one day to the other without any explanation.

Does anyone work or run a satellite office? I’m in a role where our satellite office has no designated leadership that sits regularly with HQ decisions makers.
