What expense ratio is considered higher than usual? Looking at my rollover IRA account with Vanguard where I’m invested in a target retirement fund, expense ratio is .15%
Compared with my current employer 401k plan with Fidelity where also I’m invested in a target fund, expense ratio is .09%

.15 is good for a target date index fund. You good do it cheaper by just buying the individual funds that make up the target fund, but then you have to rebalance yourself. If you want to make it set and forget just use the target fund. The 401k is cheaper because they use institutional shares which are cheaper

It bugs me when people obsess over an expense ratio on ETFs. Look at the historical performance and if one outperforms another, significantly, it might make sense going with the higher ratio...

Call me frugal but I fret over any kind of fee😀

I am currently in school for Bachelors Healthcare management/Admin. I’ve been seeing a lot of people talk about how they got the same degree but haven’t been able to find a job or anything. I chose this degree because honestly I want to get paid in the future. I’m almost done so it’s entirely too late to switch. What jobs can I look into with this degree that would compensate me well once i graduate. I’ve been looking into healthcare consulting but if there’s any other suggestions i’m open!! thx

I'm SVP/strategy for a PR agency. I moved into PR, Healthcare, and Strategic Planning only 3 years ago. An agency recruiter is trying to convince me to move into a GSVP account role, assuring me "at that level it's all strategy." (I dont think she understands the words she's using. Or that I'm qualified). But long-term, knowing account roles are so much more plentiful than brand planning in PR, I'm wondering if I should start thinking about account. Anyone here moved from strategy to account?

I spent the last 3 months "growing up" & now I'm ready to go. 1st thing is for me to get my own place. I'd like to buy instead of rent because I don't want to pay someone else's mortgage.

I'm thinking of selling my car & cash out some of my 401k to buy a house. My thought is to put down 3.5% for a FHA loan then make a big payment towards the principal to reduce long-term interest.

Anything wrong with this thinking or anything else I should consider?
