How did you all get into PM?
Hi there, I have 3.5 YOE working for NHS Finance. I applied to Deloitte Risk Advisory, Public Sector (London, UK) and was successful. Waiting to hear back with package offer but it’s been over 2 weeks - was told they may offer M2 grade, any ideas what this is?
I’m also interviewing for Senior consultant role also at Deloitte. How much would this typically pay?
Torn whether to stay within NHS as I will be getting an internal promotion or move to Deloitte.
What’s the WLB like? Good job security?

Yes I would consider and it would depend on cost. There are lots of free tutorials out there, but you don’t know what you don’t know. I don’t always ask the right questions to get to a solution.
That was my thought as well. Sometimes it can be hard to find a video that explains how to solve a problem you don’t even know how to articulate. I was thinking about tiered pricing depending on the topic, but I’m not sure. I don’t want to charge $50-100/hr to help someone with a SUMIF formula, but I also don’t want to help build a stochastic cost-benefit analysis for $20/hr. But I also don’t want to make it so complicated that a potential client just goes somewhere else!
I think an Excel Tutor may be the way. You can watch YouTube videos but usually they are all over the place made by ppl who aren't good teachers.
Absolutely. I’ve seen a wide spectrum of skill and production value.
Usually there's someone at work we can ask for Excel help or tips for free.
I don’t see any flaws in your logic 😄
I see a couple of likes, does that mean you would, in fact, hire an excel tutor? 😆
It all depends on you. What do you want and what will be most helpful for you.
I personally am more accountabile when doing something with other people. So the video option doesn't work as well as a personal coach.
I agree - some things I can do with a video, but often I find it useful to have someone holding me accountable or to bounce ideas off of.
A freelance excel ‘reviewer / helper’ can do the job. Not sure if you meant hiring full time
Freelance is the idea, or perhaps a part-time retainer arrangement.
I would be interested as well for the right price. I’m a beginner (vlookup, concat, pivots, etc)
Not sure what a fair price would be since as you stated needs and levels may be different. However, I do think you’re on the right path with the tiered pricing approach $20 an hr Tier 1 and then increase as the need/complexity warrants.
Here’s something that I don’t see out there - a live excel expert to help with a quick problem. I have an issue that I need help with now and quickly -is there a live tutor standing by that can help me right now? I’ve wasted so much time googling a specific excel problem without finding an adequate solution.
Great idea. We’d all like help under 20 minutes. But you’d have to staff up to support that. Better would be a true time to response provided before paying for the service/answer to the question.
I tutor excel online, can help you.
