Hi! I am switching roles from a PM with a couple of years of product management experience to Product Strategy. What books or courses you recommend to get a handle on topics of business case, executive reports and market research?

Senior Managers - how do you feel when a senior gives you a workpaper where the book numbers don't tie? I mean I understand if there a inaccurate tax adjustment but book numbers? Am I wrong to expect atleast that? I am honestly tired of prepping everything myself.

Imagine you're looking for a remote job at a large company with a sophisticated marketing function, strong manager, and room for growth. Making good traction, but then you're contacted by a company in a niche that FASCINATES you...like you read books about this subject for fun, you'd probably love this job. It's remote, the salary is good, the manager is nice, but you'd be the most senior marketing person; the company is about 200 people. What would you do?

New manager here. Looking for suggestions on any books anyone may have read on being an effective/good leader.

I am looking to transition into the data analytics or supply chain field as I have recently completed my masters in data analytics with a supply chain management concentration. Im a NAM working for a health insurance company, handling their high profile/high priority accounts. book of business consists of over 100k medical, 100,000 dental and EAP customers. With 10 years of exp. as a NAM, making $130k which is at the top of my salary range for the role. I’m starting to look for new opportunities, and wonder if an internal role would offer a sizable bump. My interest is a Director of account management role. Should I look externally only? Thoughts?

The role is in FinTech
I’m responsible for strategy, comms and key partnerships for a bank product. It reports through Customer Experience but touches product, Ops. marketing. It’s basically a Project Manager role but more nuanced.

Anyone out there in a role like this? Any books. videos or even best practices to share?

My boss has told me that I’m being promoted really soon (6-8) months from today to an Account Manager position from being an assistant at my company. He’s giving me every resources possible for me to be ready for that position, resources such as books, card notes and trainings. Now, I’ve seen another internal position from a different department which I’m really interested in and I know I can get because of my background. I need some insight on my salary. I've been working at a large insurance brokerage for 14 years now and am a Senior Account Manager. I service a book of around $1.5M and am doing all the data entry side of the job plus client facing service without much, if any assistance. My current annual salary is $78,500. I've recently found out from someone who left the company, who was in an entry level account management position, was making only $20k less than myself. Am I being fairly compensated?

I am in a client service account associate role right now helping AMs/AEs/Producers manage their books of business. A recruiter reached out to me with a Client Manager position. I have imposter syndrome because i have only been in insurance for 4 years. The first year being an intern/admin, so technically 3 years. (continued in comments...)

I have worked my way up in Insurance for 4 years but the 1st year being an intern/front desk/admin and was promoted twice and now an account associate helping my AMs/AEs manage our Producers' books of business. I was recently approached by a big brokerage for a Client Manager position. I have imposter syndrome and don't think I am qualified because I dont know insurance coverages/mastered what a business would need for a particular industry (continued in comments..)
