I'm not an executive leader, but I'm curious about the unique challenges that leaders are facing because the current work environment has been a lot for everyone. I'm following because I'm interested in the challenges that leaders are facing...
Having to do more with less, continuously fighting to show the value of support, trying to get teams of people who sometimes make less than most people in the company to work in environments that fuel distrust because of the many immediate and scary changes, us leaders can’t even do proper change management to handle. Then because of that having burn out, churn, or underperformers you have to think about with out guarantees of backfills even. And several other things that I have seen.
Um not really, are we starting a support group? ;)
Haha I am happy to!
Not an executive leader, but a team lead in tech, supporting legal field. I can only speak for myself and say nope, not okay, barely getting through. For all the reasons mentioned, the struggle is real. During this time of lean, let's look at those who stay with us in support. Let us listen to what is needed from our teams and act for the betterment of team members, our customers and company. We cannot replace the experience we are losing without service suffering, which leads to brand damage.
Absolutely! If you are not “revenue driving” becomes harder to sell the impact on brand damage and customer loyalty. But it’s important.
