Hi there. Ex Deloitte Sr Mgr here, currently in tech pre sales (SaaS / MarTech). Recently spoke to both Salesforce and Adobe recruiters for roles that I thought were lateral moves (Sr SA / Sr SC), therefore I did not proceed with the selection process. The recruiters from both companies told me they typically hire at that level, and people are considered for promotion to Principal in 1 to 2 years. I found that odd. Is that right? What’s the typical TC for SAs and SCs there? (15+ yrs exp).

How bad is the micromanaging and how responsive do you think this person would be to feedback? Sometimes all it takes i is a short conversation, but there are people out there who will make your life hell for daring to criticize them.
It sounds like you already did as much as you can, tbh. I doubt you'll be able to get more out of them unless you get extra pushy about it.

Just ignore them/say that you’re busy lol.
You don’t have to do something just because they want you to.
Try to have an open and honest conversation with the AE about your role and responsibilities. Help them understand that you're there to support them and provide value, but also that you need a bit of space to work your SE magic. Setting clear expectations can also go a long way. Let them know how you prefer to work together, whether it's regular check ins, clear boundaries, or specific channels of communication.
