CONT...all testing by mid next week so they can review my work and have me answer all review comments before I go. On top of doing 2 walkthroughs and 8 reviewer interviews. On top of work commitments and wrapping up wedding planning i keep having panic attacks that cause me to get even more behind. All I want to do is sleep bc I'm so physically and mentally drained.I am at a loss bc as an associate I feel like I'm expected to just get everything wrapped up as I'm on all small teams of just 3 ppl. One of my engagements I'm also senioring for the first time. Sorry long vent but I'm just so overwhelmed.
Sometimes managers and above don’t really communicate to each other to see what is all on your plate. im juggling 6 audits right now, Senioring half and I’ve had partners and managers reach out and keep reminding me to reach out if I need help. It sucks asking for help as an associate but your mental health comes first. No job should ever cause panic attacks
Next time, talk to someone before it gets to this point, but right now I would set a meeting with the manager you trust most and let them know your situation, come up with an action plan on which projects you need to finish and which ones will utilize other associates to clear review points or have the seniors fix directly. This may involve multiple conversations with various people but you need to let them duke it out on who gets your time.
You’re an associate. If you are indispensable to all these engagements they should have promoted you to SM or partner a long time ago.
