Absolutely limits it, but given that at least one person laughed at this, it's clear that too many people think that wanting a diverse staff -- in thought, in culture, in background, etc. -- is just "hiring less qualified minorities over more qualified White men." "Culture fit" is absolutely a euphemism for "people who look and think like us."

I think it limits diversity more than it helps. It often becomes a safe way to hire similar people instead of challenging bias.

I think there’s a good conversation to be had here: what do we mean when we say “culture fit?” and what SHOULD we mean? Is there ever a justification for it?
