What’s everyone’s take on the best way to move from SDR to AE in the current job market.

Context: I’m currently an SDR, 7 months of experience. Current employer almost never promotes SDR’s to AE’s (only 1 promoted in 5 years).

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Question : I want to change career from a support engineer to sales. Is that possible ? I have 4 YoE in technical support and want to change to sales.
