Who else went off keto this holiday/wknd? I had beer, pizza, bagels, pie and everything else under the sun.

No regrets here, but I am dreading the next few days.

Uhr god, I was doing so well, and then holiday weekend... doing a 36 hour fast today to kick start getting back on it. Would love any other advice from you 🐠 as to how to get back into it as seamlessly as possible

I dropped 10 lbs in 20 days. I occasionally cheat but am able to get back on track. I keep fat low as well.

Fasting here too - at least 48 hours. Hoping for 72 plus...

I cheated Saturday - Wednesday but tried not to go INSANE (69, 40, 26, 80 and 91 net carbs respectively). On Thursday I resumed a 16:8 IF, hit the gym hard and kept carbs ultra low. Did the same Friday and was back in keto!

If you can get in some anaerobic exercise and deplete the glycogen/glucose stores, get some caffeine (supposedly helps ketone production) and keep carbs extra low, you’ll probably be back quickly! I honestly don’t think I could do a 48 or 72 hour fast!!

I’m not doing keto (yet) but I am resetting my health goals. What do you guys know about ‘safe’ fasting? How often/what are the benefits/any red flags?

VP1 - Muslims and many Indian cultures have fasting for centuries. It helps lose wait and good for your general health. Do not starve yourself but eat at dawn and then at dusk. Nothing in between. Consult an expert first.

If anyone he has done extensive laser hair removal (I’m talking full body), how much did your treatments cost and was it worth it? How does one tell their boss (owner of the company) that you are burnt out? For the first time in my life, I know what I’m supposed to do at my job, with relationships around me and it’s all because the enormous sense of anxiety I used to experience evaporated during quarantine. I didn’t know that I lived with so much anxiety that it crippled me. I didn’t know I needed this time to myself.

My friend is a heavy pot smoker for 8 years and was just exposed to people who tested positive for covid. Is he going to need a ventilator? He’s losing his sh*t and I don’t know how to be helpful while he waits for test results

I think there's this myth that therapists have all their own sh*t figured out, and for me at least I know that's far from true (hopefully it isn't just me). On the contrary, I think we should be leading by example!

Getting over heartbreak and having a full time job is torture lol. My boyfriend and I just broke up after almost a year of being together. Does anyone here suffer from bipolar disorder? How do you manage it and working in law? I see a therapist, and a psychiatrist, and am on medication, but I still have days where I wake up and I’m so depressed I can’t move. I’m working on remedying this with my doctors, but how does one approach mental health issues with their employer? I never felt the need to until I realized how much being bipolar can affect my ability to work.

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything.
