Is 51k€/year adequate for a midlevel (4y experience) creative role? In France. Big agency.

What are the differences and similarities of copywriting at an ad agency vs. a branding agency?
The reason I ask: I feel unfulfilled in my current role as a direct-response copywriter at a tech company and am thinking through next steps. I crave coming up with creative ideas and concepting with a close-knit team. I also appreciate brand strategy (I started as a junior strategist at an agency before realizing I belong on the other side of the brief).

Why is it so hard to get hired in this city? Even pre-pandemic getting a creative role was full of door slams. What’s going on?

Does anyone write regularly in their career (but is not exclusively writing articles or in a role like that?) I don’t want to just stare at excel numbers all day and want some creative input, some quantitative work. Any suggestions?

Does anyone have any creative suggestions for providing role clarity within teams. We work diligently to maintain job descriptions and communicate team changes broadly, but our employees are still craving some sort of additional reference point of how positions interact with one another. We have Sharepoint and we’re thinking of putting more job info there next to peoples names and titles. Look forward to suggestions!

I was in a conversation with some coworkers today about the advertising career ladder. Whether from lack of desire or ability to manage others, not everybody will rise to CD level. Does anyone here want to stay a writer or art director your whole career instead of moving into a management position? And is that even possible without aging out or getting priced out?

After working 15 months on a big project, I was replaced by another creative who finished producing it. Dream client. Dream content. I was never told this was happening. The project just kept rolling on and I was not invited to the meetings. The company recently released the work and everyone is fawning over it. Much of the concept is the same, which I had a key role in. Due to Covid it was packaged differently, but still the same messaging. I’m so angry. but not sure I have the right. 😖

🚨 job alert! 🚨 Looking for a bilingual copywriter (English / Spanish) who can also have a foot in art direction. It’s for an agency in Miami. Position is called “content creator” which entails a digitally led creative who comes up with experiences and social media ideas. Cool agency, cool clients. The main client for this position is pharma but you’ll have access to a bunch of other projects too. Starting remote but need to be in Miami at some point when life is normal again. Hmu!

Have possible exits as a Chief of Staff at a SaaS startup (20M in funding) and as a Strategy Manager at a well known D2C company. Both pay ~125K, though the startup is remote and D2C is in NYC.
