Saw an interesting role but trying to figure out how this will affect my earnings and career trajectory if I leave consulting (currently 2nd year consultant)..

What's the salary band for an Associate Director at AbbVie? Is AD considered the same as Snr Manager at other firms? Should I be pushing for a Director level role?

Any advice?

EY Parthenon contacted me about a Director role. Interviews went well. Recruiter is working on an “approval for an offer that may take a week or two”. Seems like they’re stalling or may be putting me on the back burner. I asked them to expedite as I have another offer. Anyone have a similar experience? If they’re interviewing I’d assume they already have approval to make an offer.... makes me wonder if I should go elsewhere....

Like a resource to say eg “Director / VP of Product Strategy” comp ranges X-Y in companies of at least X revenue. Or honestly any resource that shows ranges of comp for roles of varying seniority across functions? Struggling on indeed or LinkedIn or elsewhere. My function can be tagged as product strategy or innovation fwiw. 🙏 thanks!

I interviewed for a finance director position this week with just the CFO. It went really well. They asked how I viewed the fact that I'm 32 and the controller is 30, to which I didn't ask a "good" answer because to me age doesn't matter; I had older people on my teams and it was never an issue. I suspect that the topic might pop up again during the 2nd interview with HR. How do I approach it? TYIA

In growth tech company-Sr Manager, $290K vs in health care company-Director, $315K. This is total comp including RSUs and both are in SF Bay Area. I have always been with tech companies so wondering if moving verticals is worth the extra incentive. The role will be in the sw unit of a healthcare company. What would you do?

How can I pivot from working as an ad agency art director to a commercial director/DP? I'm in an interesting position. I got an offer for an Associate manger (level 8) role at a tier 2 firm. I asked if bumping it up to level 7 (Manager) role is an option, and was basically told that it is if I really want to, but I should be careful what I wish for. SM basically told me that he thinks I will be a lot better set up for success in the long run if I were to start at level 8.

What are your thoughts? I would be coming from a large ad agency where I'm an Account Director.

I’m making 85k in Cleveland in the big 4 as an SC. Currently interviewing for a Director of Business Analytics position at a smaller local company (~20 person, $50M annual revenue local company growing at 40%)

Can I follow-up with a director twice?

Got an introduction from my manager to a director of a different practice that had an opening. He asked for a copy of my resume to pass along to his team.

I followed up again two weeks later, and he responded by saying he forwarded it along to the HR rep in charge of the position, but I still haven’t heard back yet. It’s been over two weeks now. Is a second follow-up appropriate or do I just assume it’s a lost cause?

Job opportunity (mgr title, 4-6 yr exp needed) in Internal Audit (w/ data analytics exposure) at one of the largest private companies in Chicago. I interviewed with them (director and vp) till last round and decided to pursue a different opportunity. Great and caring people who seems to support what you wanna do at this position. Have an offer for series C company for Director role. 200 + 15% plus some equity amount in negotiations. Wondering what’s reasonable here given the late stage. Around 600 employees. I’m expecting minimal equity, but any guidance?

Need advice- I reached out to a director I used to work with many years ago for a role in his team. He referred me to the recruiting team and they quickly scheduled a phone call. Now I just found out his sister works in the same company as me and I'm sure he will reach out to her. What do I do if my manager gets wind of this through the sister and asks me if I'm looking? Recently I got referred for a consultant role at BCG by a senior director of the knowledge management area (I did an internship). I applied, but after going through the application I got worried that I don’t have a GMAT score and I don’t come from a top tier school (MBA). Do you guys think I have a chance? I have good experience in pharma (+7 years commercial roles in big pharma).
