Thoughts on exiting to SAAS sales? Currently at a boutique in a niche practice area (7.5YOE, $270K TC, 190 base, 80 bonus) but being recruited to a Series C tech that is providing digital solution to our advisory model. Comp is 300-350TC (50/50 base and bonus) plus equity. New role is Director level in strategic account management. Anyone make a change like this before?

I’m a director of PM at a small tech company which is profitable and growing. What total comp should I be making?
Context: I joined as an IC and moved up to the role. The company mostly offers cash compensation (vs equity).

I’m a p/t freelancer with a design agency and we often work on projects with digital agencies. One of the digital agencies just posted a freelance design position on LinkedIn. I want to apply but not sure if I need to check with the art director at the design agency first?

Have an offer for operations director level role with real P&L ownership in mutli site operations space. Problem is cash comp feels low (prob 15% lower than I make now, would be much lower post promo) a lot of travel (driving 4+ hours one way prob every other week), and equity doesn’t vest for 5 years (although it is a good amount of equity with decent but not great upside potential). Worth the pay cut to get real ops experience? Or not that valuable relative to staying where I’m at?

I left an agency about 1.5 years ago (content manager and prev social) to go in house (copywriter). Long story short, agency wants to offer me a senior director role. However, this isn't client facing and would be marketing for the agency itself.

Should you stay in a position that has very limited promotion opportunities because of its org structure? We have a relatively small team of various bands of staff level who report to a Director who has no intentions of adding additional mgt layers (understandably). There is apparently growth opportunities on a IC track, but those don’t seem to be granted as often as management promotions. I’m an SM and I’m currently exploring other opportunities. I’m in a very dynamic albeit ambiguous role where I oversee a team of 20, regularly facilitate internal and external strategic conversations with C-Suite, and get assigned to lead high-vis projects. The roles that I’m being offered are Director level and many seem to be lateral at best. Is this an age thing(32F)? Or am I doing a poor job of articulating my abilities?

Can I get some recruiters who've worked outside of Big 4 to opine on this scenario - is a Manager at a Big 4 eligible to jump the ladder to a Director-level role into a company within another industry that is ranked lower than the Big 4 in 'Best Places to Work' as well as have the YOE relatively multiplied to meet the YOE requirements of the other company (I heard something about 5 years in consulting = 10 years in industry)? Or would you consider that person only for lateral Manager roles?

He’s been at the YMCA for 7 years and is open to any Operations or Consulting position though his experience is more heavily focused in the nonprofit sector.
