Interviewing with a PE for an operations director role (one level below MD). Two questions 1) what’s a good pay range (base, bonus) to target? 2) should I disclose my target pay or is it better to punt it?

Advice needed: Hey guys, currently on a pretty crappy project. Way too much work for what I’m getting paid for, talked to a former director and they said there’s no real career plan. Pretty much stuck in a staff aug role where they just need bodies to do work and client seems to get away with whatever they want (biggest account for us). Seriously contemplating quitting even without a new job lined up. Any advice from someone whose been in a similar spot? Thanks!

Nearing an exit and trying to get a baseline for how LTI works in industry. Seems to start at AVP/Director levels with 10+YOE.

What might an LTI component look like? Vesting etc

Recruiter contacted me about an audit principal/signing director position at CLA. I'm assuming that is like RSM's senior manager/senior director position. Anyone have more details on compensation? This would be in a medium COL city.

I’m pending an offer from Visa Inc for a Senior Director role and want to know some guardrails. The recruiter informed me in our very first call that Visa “doesn’t pay cash to bring people on” and alluded to not offering a sign on bonus or RSUs. This is very strange to be competitive in the tech world. Would love to hear input into pushing for both equity and sign on as part of the offer. Thanks!

A director-level operations role at a PE firm landed in my lap a few months ago. Upon interviewing and learning more about the position, I realized this would be my ideal exit opportunity out of BiG4. I still have one more interview left, but until I get an offer, I’m going to focus my career search on this particular type of role going forward. It seems like this type of role is virtually impossible to find ok LinkedIn, job boards, or school postings. Is this the case for PE operations role?

What are the typical exit profiles at a Senior Manager level? Looking at a few Digital Director, Senior Product Manager roles. A few of my colleagues went out as CIOs / CTOs, but I have never got such opportunities

Thoughts on reaching out to a Director whom I interviewed with before, but ultimately passed on a second round due to accepting another offer? Had interviewed in February, then pandemic hit and <6mo into my new job was layed off. Just saw a new posting for the same role I interviewed for before and wanting to gun for it. Unfortunately the recruiter whom I built a relationship with had left. Would it be proactive or desperate to reach out to the Dir?

A recruiter reached out for an assistant director of strategy role for a company I’d really like to work for. Requirements say “Strong analytical experience working with large data sets and building models in Excel·” but I don’t have modeling experience. Should I still take the call or would that be a deal breaker?

Where do ya’ll go to collect market rate for a role you’re applying for? Glassdoor is highly inconsistent for the title in question (e.g., $100k - $350k range). Is there another way to determine the market rate for a InfoSec Director role?

Serious question. My 3ish year plan is to make SM then move to industry for (hopefully) a director role. The company I’m eyeing up happens to be one my practice is trying to get a foot in the door. Do I tell them my leadership my 3 yr plan in hopes to garner their support in getting me the experience I need to get that role? Or do I keep it hush hush.

What is the expected compensation for Amazon strategy manager role? I am currently a big 4 manager up for director. Does the manager strategy role at Amazon make sense?

Have two offers and unsure which to take. Ex Big 4 and have done software startups since.

Option 1: Director role back in Big 4. Good package. Good fit with my area of expertise, focusing on tech solutions and partnering with startups. Working across all industries and clients.

Option 2: Big Tech/GAFAM (level = L6 google/e6 FB/65 Microsoft, which I’m told is Director equivalent) Even better package. Account Technology Strategist. Less client diversity but using breadth of their tech.

Just hit the 1 year mark as a post-MBA consultant at a T2 and realizing consulting isn’t for me. Are there any industries where someone with 5 YOE and MBA can get a senior manager or director role with $200k+ total comp or should I expect a pay cut?

However, going through 5 interviews, I realized the role they are hiring for/asking for is a AWS Product Security Director skillset (which I have) and not what the original JD is asking for. The latter (IMO) is more specialized and demand a higher comp. How do I safely raise this discrepancy with the recruiter and ask for more comp? If so, what’s the market rate for Product Security Director?

What exactly does a “Chief (or Director) of Innovation” do? I can’t quite wrap my head around how innovation can be taught or managed.
