Applied for senior TA role at Salesforce CSG, but got an offer as regular TA position. Also applied for other Senior level tech roles at big 4 and platinum partner SI at the same time frame, pretty confident I will get some offers. Will Salesforce match me to senior TA if I show my offers from big4?

I switched firms in mid Dec. and took up new area of practice (insurance defense to coverage). I was recruited for the position and sold on the training I would get. Instead, I found a stressed out and unsupportive partner who did not have time to train me or the tact to let me save face when I asked dumb questions. I’m now taking charge of my own development, but I still have a frosty relationship with the partner. Advice?

Why are some firms so strict with the yoe policy? Spoke to the partner for a manager role and they said I’m short 5 months for the manager role - this is after all the interviews and I’ve performed. Now they want me as a senior associate for 1 year before I can be a manager

I’ve decided to stop answering calls from this rude attorney (not from my firm) because I noticed on emails he’s very cordial but then on the phone, takes advantage of my junior status and chastises me (and not the partner) for our client’s position and it sets me in a terrible mood. He also doesn’t leave voicemails or follow up emails so it’s purely just to let out his aggression at someone who has no control over the situation. I will not let some sad stranger ruin my weekends anymore!!

My department went through a reorganization; my unit was dissolved but I was offered a role in a new unit that I used to work with as a partner. Their work had always seemed interesting and I was happy to join. Unfortunately it seems they just needed some one to figure out how to manage grunt work being done by the people they fired. While they promised me growth and learning, it’s hard to find time and opportunity given hefty time commitment and tediousness of the job. Is this common in reorgs?

Had a final round interview with B4 consulting on Monday and spoke with a partner for 10 min. When is it okay to follow up with them about a final decision? Currently staffed and they wanted me to start in March. So wanted to give my team maximum time to backfill my position.

Just went solo last year advising startups (former ECVC big law, senior associate) with a heavy emphasis on alternative fee arrangements like subscription and flat-fee pricing. Thinking about hiring a mid-level associate or recruiting a partner with relevant experience and interest in building a differentiated firm. Currently at big 4 doing risk assurance. I like the job, pays well, like the team and I’m well situated for promotions. Partner has taken a big interest in my career for whatever reason. I was recently offered a strategy position at Accenture. Am I stupid to not take it to get out of risk as everyone says?

1st year manager at b4 between staying or zs (associate consult.)

Zs : lower title but higher salary and salary growth. Unsure of avg time to partner. more strategic work than at b4

Both would be “new roles” I’m moving internally. From what I can tell I don’t know how much zs will help exit ops outside of pharm.

Received a lot of recruiter interest for my areas of expertise (Data, Analytics, Governance) lately. I’ve not been looking. Spent most of my 20+ year career in industry before the last less than 2 years as an advisory manager with KPMG. The two conversations that have me intrigued are Deloitte and Gartner. Deloitte would be the same practice area, not sure of the level yet. Gartner would be a Leadership Partner role for Data and Analytics. Any advice on pros and cons for these firms?

I accepted an offer for a design internship at a pretty solid agency, but was offered a full-time junior AD position at an agency I'd prefer to work at right after signing the paperwork for the first place that offered me the internship. What should I do?
My internship starts tomorrow and pays less than half of what the junior AD position would pay and will just barely be enough to pay rent. My partner is currently unemployed and I don't know how I'm going to support us both on 14/hr.

They told me my path to partner would be accelerated as a promise given that there is no salary bump.
