I got so scared that I had to set a doctor's appointment. After years of inhaling whatever chemicals from jet fuel and aircraft emissions, I'm not taking any chances.
That's not a bad idea. When news like this comes out, it's only prudent to do everything we can to get ahead of any illnesses that could have been caused by the chemicals we were exposed to during our service. I'm planning to discuss it with my doctor too.
YES. It's definitely scary and concerning, especially considering that my brother is a ground crew member in the Air Force. I feel a little uneasy knowing that he might be more at risk for cancer, but I'm trying to stay positive and hope that the research will lead to better solutions for protecting our service members.
Yeah i've been panicking tbh. I'm already at a higher risk for melanoma from my mom's side, and I really wish that i would have known about this sooner. I've been considering moving careers because of it.
Have you been to a doctor and received a professional’s opinion?
