Has anyone happily exited RE big law? Would be interested to hear where people go from here.

Many in my MBA program are hyper grade focused. Do grades matter that much post MBA for future job opps at all? My approach has been to balance academics with relationship building and practicing exec presence and for me, pivoting to a new industry

I’ve worked as an appellate prosecutor for state government for almost 3 years, but I’m now looking to transition into a federal government agency. I have the research, writing, and even oral argument experience, but are there any other skills or topics I should highlight to be considered by an agency like the FTC or SEC?

Within my first year of Consulting, really struggling with the hours amongst other things. Spoken to a couple of people internally and the advice is to get on to projects with bigger budgets and therefore bigger teams/more support. Didn't end up making the cut in Strategy consulting case interviews. Would really like to do strategy / S&O some day. I love using data to inform decision-making.

Curious as to how many deals at once is typical for a first year associate to take on (M&A, mostly private equity clients). Junior associate here, should I ask for more money if my firm is about 10-15 percent less hours but about 30 percent less pay?
