If you start as a Program Manager, how/when do you begin to advise people as a people lead? I’ve heard Program Managers are not people leads. I started lead a team of 3 about a month ago at my current job and don’t want to lose leadership experience but have been told my YOE would map to a Program Manager level at Google.

Anyone here with experience as a Product Manager? I’ve close to decade of consumer lending experience including Sales/Advisory, Supervisor and Underwriting. I have have been looking to pivot into a more impactful role this year. I am due for an interview for a Product Manager next week. The company ticks all my boxes but the job description a bit vague. Recently switched from audit to advisory. Not loving it, want to disconnect and switch careers/take a role outside of accounting. Thinking about putting two weeks in before the break without anything lined up. Thoughts?

I was not getting any proper job, I joined a company as System Admin (the position name is only in pen and paper their actual work is data entry operator) on 3rd party payroll. The company only gives salary which is lowest in market. they don't provide any facilities. there is no career growth, learning facilities in this company. Still I am not getting proper job. Now I am forgetting the things I learned. Fully frustrated with my job. Please suggest how can I overcome the problem.

Why is it so hard to move out of federal consulting and into the private sector?

How much base pay range should I expect/target for EY FSO data analytics senior consultant role in Midwest? Currently making 110k base in another firm with close to ~6 years exp.

Interviewing for senior audit role at a small tech company, interviewed with 7 people so far. Recruiter ghosts me for 1 month and now she wants me to do more interviews. During the 1 month of ghosting I applied for an internal transfer at EY and have interview next week. If I get the transfer, I’d rather stay at EY - should I decline or accept the tech company’s 8th interview?

Is it common for an SE to need to do analyst-style research for a POV/POC? This research helps guides our team of analysts in configuring the product’s environment for the POC. As an SE, I’m tasked with this research since I’m customer-facing but our analysts are not. Idea being that I can apply knowledge of the customer’s requirements.
