Hello fellow introverts! Instead of talking to people I have an Instagram account to shout my opinions about books into the void. Id love it if any of you would be willing to take a look and give me feedback on the reviews. I feel like they aren't quite at the level I'm aiming for.

I think it is really important for DEI in the workplace as most people of color, or of different orientations, or religions feel as if they have to put on a different face at work because who they are culturally may be seen as unprofessional or inappropriate. It is a conversation that isn't had enough.
Physiological safety is just a fancy way to say be inclusive across your team. Lots of managers can (and are comfortable with) creating "safe" working space but dont know how to create an "inclusive" workspace.
IMO I don't care what you call it. But if it gets managers to the inclusion table, I'll take it!
What does “psychological safety” mean within the context of DEI? I have yet to hear a definition that rings true to me.
Do you mean psychological safety or physiological safety? Either way, creating a safe environment for employees is crucial to helping them achieve their potential -- and realizing your potential as an organization. When people don't feel safe, they tend to become unhappy with their jobs, resentful, and feel targeted more. Creating safety really helps cut back on those negative impacts, which is obviously a big deal.
"Psychological safety" is vital, fostering open dialogue, trust, and inclusivity. It plays a crucial role in DEI work, empowering individuals to express themselves without fear, promoting understanding and growth within organizations.
Psychological safety is important. It gives you the freedom to discover, to collaborate as yourself, to know you’re valued, and to be able to challenge the status quo—without fear. Teams that experience this are more high performing. There is typically less turnover, fewer sick days, and higher satisfaction.
