I’m not an expert but a few days, I’ve used the strips and it has taken me a week of no carbs. Depends on your body to some extent
When I first started keto, it probably took me 1-2 weeks to get into heavier ketosis (according to pee strips). But I didn’t go cold turkey <20 carbs either, I worked my way down.
Exercise, fasting and/or extra low carb will expedite the process.
I still have and use the pee strips, but now it never shows anything more than ketones even though I’m pretty sure Im in ketosis (weight loss, <20 net carbs and exercise).
I want to pull the trigger on the keto mojo but haven’t mentally rationalized the expense yet.
The harder the workouts the more glucose you burn up = the faster you get into ketosis. I've used the strips, great barometer to know if your on the right track. Don't worry about how dark the color gets. If it changes at all it means that you're producing ketones. All the strip shows is what you have in excess.
