I haven’t tried it - didn’t even know it was a thing. I would suggest finding YouTube videos or podcasts along that line to see how you feel about it before investing that kind of money.
The biggest benefit a human coach offers is accountability. You can learn the same skills by getting workbooks or watching videos, but forming new habits sometimes takes a person riding you. Especially for people with adhd.
Consider other lower cost accountability groups as well, and create yourself a program to follow.
This could include structure daily work planning, breaking down tasks
I like flow.club for this. It’s $40/mo for unlimited zoom sessions with other people who are also working on their tasks.
Coaching did work but too expensive. I’ve been working with an occupational therapist. They’re highly trained and often covered by insurance, so it can be a much more affordable option. Check out https://www.hellomelo.co/. They connect you with OTs who specialize in ADHD support.

Super appreciate this thread. Way to pool resources, y'all!
What a great question! Here are a few things for you to consider before hiring a coach. 1) In which areas of your life does ADHD impact you the most? 2) What have you tried so far? 3) On a scale of 1-10, how badly do you want to make improvements in these areas?
If your answer to question #3 is not at least an 8, you’re probably not ready for coaching because it’s an investment in time and money. My most successful clients went all in, meaning they showed up (fully) for our sessions and they did the work in between sessions. Being a witness to their changes is the main reason why I coach.
