Hey everyone- I need advice on pivoting from an MCO to hospitals. I am a young healthcare professional with an MHA. Prior to graduating, I had a solid year experience interning as an administrative consultant in a hospital and I loved the environment. However when the pandemic hit, I ended up in managed care/insurance side. I would like to step into an administrator or practice manager but Im afraid my lack of direct healthcare setting experience I would have to take a low paying role. Any tips?

Never been a landlord before and obviously not a great time to be selling so curious how much would I need to get in rent in order to make it worth it to me and not losing $$$?

Hey friends. My wife and I are looking to start investing in the market outside of our 401ks, hsa etc. We opened a Charles Schwab brokerage account and planning to transfer 2-3k/mo. We’re in our late 20s/early 30 and likely won’t need to touch the money for 10+ years. What should be our investment strategy? How should we allocate to what funds? Thinking of splitting evenly across large, mid, small caps, and growth, value funds using DCA.

Stuck between two jobs. I have a job offer from a Big4 and also have an operations job offer from a pretty reputable bank. I've done research into consulting and I'm pretty hesitant on the chaos, WLB, and politics that goes into it. The operations role seems a lot more stable and lax, but not sure if l'm giving up a lot by playing it safe. The C job also pays about 15k more than the Ops job.

Does anyone feel like the stock market with 401k/IRA is a herd mentality of everyone contributing for people to take out money when they’re older similar to social security at this point? And those of us participating are minimizing gains vs. individual stocks because we’re waiting on basically more people to contribute to the funds every month and to stay in the funds?

I just don’t understand the downswings on these 401k funds so significantly if everyone is DCA someone is selling.

Am I wrong to be annoyed? Senior associate has been MIA all week and left the team to cover 4 major briefs/court deadlines on his cases (not mine) that he had not started. Ethnically chinese ppl in the UK (not british) - do you feel a little ostracized working here?
I am not from china but of chinese heritage. Grew up in SEA. I moved to london for university. I am now working in a majority british company and while I have never experienced overt racism, I find it difficult to fit in with my english peers. Got aoffer from a local tech startup as a entry level AE-MSP. I am 22/M and been with my current company for only 2 months as an AE but hate everything about the job except the pay and W/L balance. I’m tired of working from home and wanted an opportunity to work at a team based social environment for some time, so was excited to hear about this offer. But their starting offer is a 40/40 split(80k OTE) which is almost a 40% pay cut. He said we could negotiate. Any advice on what to ask for?
