Why would the staffing agency (who got me my current job) be reaching out to me after a year? A little back story, I got my foot in the door at my company through a staffing agency. It was a freelance to permanent role. If they ended up liking me, I would become a perm employee. They liked me after ONLY a month and I was permanently hired. But now, almost 1 year later, the staffing agency is asking if we’re hiring and if I can give them the name of my manager for my file? Is that sketchy?

Here’s the question…
Stay in my current Product Manager role at General Motors (avg salary, not learning/progressing PdM space, good wlb, lots of work but lots of politics, messy process and conflicts with other teams) OR move into a Senior PdM at Mapbox (higher salary, RSUs, unknown culture, unknown wlb, etc.). Mapbox is intriguing because I feel like it will help me grow as a product manager, but I’m a little worried this may be “grass is greener on other side” scenario.

Hi folks. I'm a Senior Account Manager at Microsoft, 10 YOE working with board level stakeholders to onboard workloads. AWS approached me for a Customer Solutions Manager role which is exactly what I do for Microsoft. The hiring manager sent a team member who turned my interview into a technical deep dive. I'm not a Cloud Solutions Architect! Question... Is it normal for AWS to send the tech police to non tech interviews? The guy might as well been a robot.

I just got an offer for a hybrid Product Owner / Scrum Master / Project manager role for a SWD company.

Wonder what I should counter. I have five direct YOE and two indirect.

Base: $145k
Bonus: +10%

It feels a bit low but it’s also more than I make now.

I was recently let go from my job of 7 years with an organic egg company. We were purchased by private equity and I was the first to be let go by the new SVP of Sales. I worked my way up from Sales Admin to Trade Marketing Manager in a 5 year span. It’s been over a month and I don’t have any solid leads for a new role. I’m looking for a role in Category Management, Trade Management or just Sales in general. I am very competent and have valid credentials. Any help is appreciated.

Just made manager at a big 4 with experience in IT audit, Internal Audit, and SOX mainly. Considering leaving as I’ve started feeling more and more burnt out. But I have no idea what my options are. I’m considering trying to change fields completely versus finding an industry job related to IA, Sox, etc… even if it means taking a step back. What would be something I could change to? A program manager role, business analyst, or something else? Trying to maintain similar salary vs improve WLB.

Hey everyone- I need advice on pivoting from an MCO to hospitals. I am a young healthcare professional with an MHA. Prior to graduating, I had a solid year experience interning as an administrative consultant in a hospital and I loved the environment. However when the pandemic hit, I ended up in managed care/insurance side. I would like to step into an administrator or practice manager but Im afraid my lack of direct healthcare setting experience I would have to take a low paying role. Any tips?

What does a creative resource manager do? I just got hired at a big agency. I met my team, including my partner and my CD & ECD, who hired me. But later in the day someone stop by at my desk & said he is a creative resource manager & my supervisor who gives me assignments & approve my time offs. Hey guys need help evaluating two offers: offer A: technical product manager, TC 110k. Offer B: product analyst, TC 140k. Offer A offers better work exp and I want to do PM work, offer B pays more and has the potential to internal transfer to a PM role within a year, but it’s obviously not guaranteed. I’m on the Board of entity A (volunteer basis) and I’ll have an interview for a legal counsel position at entity B. Entity A and B have a partnership such that me working for entity B will create conflict of interest. Should I disclose my relationship with entity A during the initial interview with entity B’s hiring manager? If so, what should I say? I don’t want my volunteer job at entity A potentially jeopardizes my full-time job at entity B.

Anyone know what Program Manager packages range from at Intuit? I feel low-balled. I was on the initial 30 minute call and they asked my expectations, so I stated I’d like to here their range. They stated max salary: 167k, rsu 70k (4yrs to vet), and bonus 15%. I expect salary to be 225-300k and RSU to be over 100k
