Why doesn’t Visa use collaborative tools like Slack and Google Workspace? I’m guessing it’s not a budget issue.

I have an upcoming Product Manager interview with BCGDV. HR told me it would be a 45 minutes Zoom call with a Product Director. I’ve heard there’s no case interviews, but they’re pretty vague about what the interview is like. Can anyone share their BCGDV recruiting experience and how I can better prepare for it? I updated some settings, and now don't remember / know how to fix it.

Slack dings on my side when I send a message. How do I stop that? I want a small ding when I receive them, but not one when I send them.

I'm not talking about the ding the receiver gets. I'm talking about a ding on my side when I hit send.

Got fully prepared for a interview, while I waited for more than 15 mins and no one was in the zoom. Sent the email and recruiter was on PTO, the interviewer was design manager and I don't have his contact. Double checked the time and link and it wasn't my mistake. Just no one, except myself. Before I left I sent the msg to the expected interviewer on Linkedin and kindly asked is he is aware of the interview. But anyway, really frustrated with everything prepared while no one shows up...

What would you do if you were the only one left on your team? Work hard? Find a new job? Slack and wait to get fired?

Hi everyone! I realised my linkedin profile is super bland, this has mainly happened as my role kept evolving so much that I've now lost track of how to capture the information well and come under the radar of headhunters or sourcers.

Anyone who is great with wording and knows how to build a linkedin profile, willing to help please DM. We can set up teams or zoom call and amend capture a great or atleast reasonably better looking linkedin profile with some headhunters success rate. ;)

If you try to call me, or ping me to ask for call, or try to pull me into another call when I'm already IN a call and Microsoft Teams shows that - you're getting ignored until I actually have time to read your message. At most you're going to get a reminder to check my calendar for availability.

So I’m doing a tiny freelance project for 2 days. I’m being asked to: Set-up/get on a company email Acct. Sign up to an adobe ‘all apps plan.’ Enroll in ‘security awareness training’ (phishing school?) Join Dropbox. Join workamajig for timesheets. Get another zoom Acct. Join monotype. I’m sure there will be a payment app to join too. 😬😬😬 can I bill a whole extra day for this torment?

Does anyone work at or know someone at Airtable? Curious on what insiders think of their experience working remotely and WLB.

I am currently interviewing and the role + manager seem like a great fit. My current team has a very toxic 9-9 culture and I am looking for a place where it's ok to not check Slack after 6pm :)

If a company recruiter says she/he won’t turn on the camera on zoom but i have a choice, is it better to turn on the camera?

We have a Slack channel dedicated to employee created memes about company topics, by far the best use of Slack I’ve seen. What’s your favorite Slack channel or use of Slack?

Have you ever tried to draw a line with your boss after doing too much for too long? I feel like I’m at my breaking point and I can’t keep putting in these insane hours and taking responsibility for picking up other people’s slack. I’m just worried about them taking anything I say the wrong way.

Can someone tell me how exactly Slack works?

Yesterday I spoke about wanting to get into the comm field because I have my degree in PR & Advertising. Thank you to all who helped. I work at home for a big financial company, we all are connected through Microsoft teams, would it be too forward if me to try and message someone in the communications department just about general questions to try and build a connection there? I’d love to stay at my company and just move to corporate internal or external communications.
