I am looking for a new role that I could pivot to from being a BA. Please share your suggestions. I enjoy: SQL, Postman, API testing, Jira/Confluence, creating processes, writing tech docs and test plans, making a Tableau visual, knowledge sharing, spreadsheets, JSON/XML, QA/automated testing, cross-team collaboration, Slack, solving tech challenges. I am trying to avoid: phone support, app/prod support, incident/on call work, customer/client/public support, project management, implementations.

When did you set up a user feedback group? (e.g. Slack, Discord)
Did you do it super early, during your beta or when your product was generating revenue?

As many companies move to full remote, I’m feeling very lonely in my personal hell of sitting alone in a room all day talking at distracted teammates in video calls and managing a never-ending pile of ineffective slack communications. As a project manager the part of my job I loved most (interacting with human people) is gone and probably not coming back.

Do I need a career change or does anyone else in the digital industry feel this way?

Has anyone deleted Slack from their phone and lived to tell about it?

Does anyone else sweat in your underarms after attending 2 hour-long meetings (even if you aren't the one presenting)? I noticed that's a frequent thing for me, especially during job searches. Any time I'm on zoom/attending meetings over 2 hours, I feel like I just had an ultimate interview nervous sweat session or something (but why?) Face gets heated too, pinkish.

But when I use the computer for like 9+ hours, designing, watching YT, attending webinars, etc, no nervous sweat.

Anyone interviewed with Slack/Salesforce for their brand/creative team ? Curious what the recruiting process is like

Do you have a recommendation for a company intranet resource?

We currently use a very outdated Wordpress site. I need a platform that can host a blog, send a newsletter, hold all of our HR resources/onboarding/forms/docs etc.

I’ve looked at a few like Happeo, Friday…but they seem overly in-depth. I guess I’m looking for a happy medium?

We currently use Slack, Zoom, Box, and ADP. It’s been nice to have a place where we can integrate them and have a single sign in.

Starting this Thursday I'm offering free 20 minute calls for (business and tech) resume tweaking. We can meet on zoom and I'll help make your resume more effective, guaranteed.

(I do this at my campus jobs and am willing to do this for free bec my classes are ending and I want to use my free time to help my fellow hopeful applicants.)

How do you deal with a manager who always blame you for actions that the manager instructed me to do in the past? E.g. manager reviews client decks with you and instructs to just note a strict budget to report. After a week, manager rereads the same deck and blames me for not supporting the budget that was added per the manager’s request. We always have this situation, no matter how much I ask for clarity in any internal reviews. I even sent back the emails and slack chats as an attachment.

Spent 5+ yrs for a company, always received top ratings, grew our team 200% at new client (new space). 
Boom, covid happened, ex-mgr asked me to get new clients by working with sales and marketing (I was a Tech mgr leading s/w development projects, LOL). 
Got laid off over a 10 mins zoom call. Got back to work after a yr long break. I am really thankful for this job.
I now see a linkedin req from this same person who took the credit all the time! Get a life, ex-boss.

I’m a second year associate. Sometimes I get to go take a deposition or go to zoom court, but most of my working time is spent with my ass in a chair. I know this is common, but is it worth sticking around to make partner so I can someday take the big meetings, have client interaction, etc? I am bored out of my mind at times.

I’m attending a day long zoom meeting… do I bill for lunch break?

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I’m looking forward to working hybrid later this year.

I spent half of my senior year of college in the pandemic and graduated into remote work. So I’m excited for the socialization and experience being in office brings. Sure, it’s because I’m young and nieve - I bet I’ll appreciate remote work more as time goes on. Despite that I’m tired of being on Zoom and excited to interact with my coworkers, irl 🙂

A mentor of mine recently helped me get a job working with them, and at the same time I ended up falling into a depression episode. I’ve been struggling to focus enough to do my work, crying at minor inconveniences, and feeling like I’m letting everyone down. I don’t know what to do anymore to make it better, I’m just disappointing everyone and my team is picking up my slack

I have 2nd interview through Microsoft Teams today with the hiring manager for an internal recruiter position with a hospital … should I wear a blazer or just a blouse?

Does anyone have tips, tricks or words of advice for facilitating an effective & engaging creative review meetings? I’m a Creative Account Manager at an in house agency. Zoom creative reviews with our clients will start next week. My participation is ensuring creatives on, setting up the meeting and then creative presenting their work (fairly straightforward). Do you meet with your creative teams before the presentation? What are some core “dos and donts “?

During this Covid season having zoom meetings and trying to get used to folks not turning on the camera. Does anyone feel awkward when it is just you and the other person in a meeting and they have their camera off?
