Any advice on getting your foot in the door in the Big 4 companies or the like, ie: PwC, Deloitte, etc. I feel like I have the perfect experience for some of these posted roles but the online application process is a black hole. I’ve seen my resume ‘in review’ for 6+ months or more. Do people only get interviewed for these roles through networking?

Anyone been brave enough to ask why a position was open? And if so did that effect the rest of the interview or their decision?

I recently accepted a position in the ICU, but the interviewer described that they're "like a family" (yikes) and how they have travel nurses renew their contract for a year cause it's a great unit to work. But like, if it's so great then why did someone leave...? Lol. Still excited about the job but that did sit on my mind for awhile

I currently work in house at a company with a fairly large legal group. My role has been primarily focused on contracting but I have also taken on a mentorship/oversight role for more junior attorneys on my team. A formal management role in our department has opened up and I am interviewing for it as an internal applicant. I interviewed with PwC for sf dev two weeks back. Last week I called up the HR who got me interviewed for an update on it but she just said that give us some more time we will get back to you. Is it pretty usual in PwC to take this much time?

Is it extremely bad form to verbally say yes to a job offer (nothing signed) then turn around and take a competing offer somewhere else instead? I got an offer this morning and said yes, then called to cancel a second interview I have booked for next week with someone else. They said I was their favorite candidate and offered me more money (still want me to complete the second interview). If I do this interview and they make a better offer is it bad form to take my yes back with the first job?

I was interviewing for a Product Manager role. Went through 3 rounds of interviews, positive feedback throughout. Before the UK long weekend, I was told a 4th and final round will be scheduled soon.
