Can your boss ask if you have a disability? I know employers are not supposed to before hiring, but in the job, can they legally ask?

During my 1:1 with boss, she said I should ask questions on the spot when she gives me feedback on a deliverable, but it takes me time to learn and absorb the details as I have a learning disability. I dont feel comfortable disclosing for fear of discrimination. Ive learned to cope by taking really good notes, asking for my teammates’ and recording if allowed.
