Has any of you dealt with having your emails be public to your entire team for commentary? Does your company have an “all emails are public” policy? Is this common practice for handling emails?

This seems highly unusual to me. I could see a manager asking permission to share an email with the team for a learning opportunity. But especially if your name is attached to it, this seems like a breach of security/privacy

That's what I thought as well. It's rough that even the feedback we get is being relayed poorly

I have not personally dealt withit. My company does not have an “all emails are public” policy and I haven’t heard of it being a common practice for handling emails. A colleague of mine once shared that his employer had an “open email” policy at one point, but it was quickly abandoned due to employees feeling uncomfortable with it.

Lucky them. Here our CEO is the one pushing for this policy. I feel like upper management is using these learning opportunities to just be mean, and that's not cool.

I mean my emails are synced to Salesforce by outreach but no, I have never had a team read my emails and give feedback.

Whether or not your emails are visible through a tool like Front, you should always assume all work-related communications, internal and external, are visible to the leadership of the company. We log emails, and it’s expected that all client-facing messages are available to all internal stakeholders. Sure, it means that everyone can weigh in and leave feedback, but it also means that there is never a time when we don’t know what a client has been told. For me, the issue would be the feedback process more than the transparency. What is it like?

Hmm, I see your point. Coaching should be private, timely, and in context where possible…. Maybe you should discuss the types of feedback you’re comfortable with in public with your management?

Sounds like they don’t trust reps. I think that’s probably the core issue, sadly.

Need 39 pts to win. Joe Mixon and Chubb left to play (full ppr). Think I will make it?

I’m in a little of a pickle but a good one. Offer A. Established “start up” doing well financially and projected to hit profitability. 130k base. Stocks offered, unlimited PTO, and 70% Medical covered. Offer B. Is at a business much larger…90k salary with 10% bonus and generous stock offering. Titles are different which is why the pay is much different. I know some may think it is a no brainer but offer A allows me to grow the department ground up whereas offer B id be apart of to just different
