I was fired a couple of weeks ago and since we can’t afford losing my income I started interviewing immediately.
I’m expecting a job offer from a large, public, reputable company to start in 2 weeks. Here’s the catch: I’m giving birth 2 weeks after my start date!
They offer day 1 maternity leave fully paid up to 16 weeks.
Most people say to defer the start date but we NEED my income. How bad would it look? How can frame this?

I’ve worked in sales for 12 years (8 years retail sales and management, 4 years inside tech sales and management). I’m feeling the burn and looking for something else in the tech field. I’m making $140k. I have a college degree but no marketing, engineering, or product experience. What other departments/jobs could I jump to and still keep close to my OTE? I’m pretty good at Salesforce and have thought about a SFDC admin type role, but that’s all I’ve thought of so far.
