I think it comes down to what you want from the certification.
If you are looking for a personal development tool that can help you identify areas of opportunity for improvement, it is a good investment.
But if you are looking to showcase knowledge and abilities to potential employers, that is something I would suggest caution. Comp and TR are areas where book knowledge is nice, but actual experience carries more influence.
I agree as well. It really depends on what you are hoping to get out of it. If you are interested in that side of HR then I would say to go for it. It sounds to me like it would be a good invest ment for you.
I agree with above...I think it can be a good investment potentially for personal development but don't really know how much value it would add in rewards or compensation tbh

I’ve been in total reward for 7 years. No certifications or degree. I started in HR and benefits just fell in my lap and I just grew from there.
Our compensation manager has her CCP certification and earns the same as the benefits manager who doesn’t have any HR certifications.
What would you say are the most common skills for this area and challenges?
I know a lot of people in HR who started their careers in total reward. You don't really need to have the necessary experience. I'm not particularly sure if getting a CCP cert will boost your chances
