What options do you see evolving out of Sales Engineering?

Been doing this long enough that I think most of my keyboard clicking, demo leading days are behind me.

I like talking, solutioning, thought leadership, helping customers identify their needs and best ways to solve them. I also like mentoring / managing. So presales management is an option.

I’m just wondering what everyone else thinks as where to best leverage top performing sales engineer individual contributor skills

So I recently graduated in the fall semester from school, and I am now trying to find a entry-level full-time position in my field. I graduated with a BA in Cinema and Television Arts; specifically in Entertainment Media Management. I wasn’t able to do an internship because of work and personal stuff. Does anyone know any good tips of what entry level positions I should look into?

Accepted role as associate at KPMG in strategy advisory. What should I be wary of / make sure I do? I’m hoping to make a good impression and receive promotion/raise on a good timeline. I’ll work as hard as need be.

As a first time PM at a company with no PM structure, I’m finding it difficult to learn good practices and bring myself to “the next level”. Has anyone here had a similar self taught start that made the break through to become a solid senior PM? Anything will help, books, etc.

Recruiter for big tech company reached out on LinkedIn about a role. I asked about ballpark compensation numbers and they said they’re only comfortable sharing on a live call. Replied that I often receive LinkedIn offers for roles of paycuts around 30-50% so I want to make sure we’re in the same rough range. Recruiter again said she would only share via live call. I wanted to ask for opinions on this career path in terms of pay and career progression. Does it have good exit opportunities? What does the career growth typically look like for this role?

Never been in an SE or consulting or B2B sales role before but have a referral at Salesforce and have been in some informal conversations. I’m starting to freak out a bit now that maybe I can’t do it. I have a tech background so can handle that part, but perhaps strategy may be difficult. Anyone make the transition to an SE role that have some advice?
