Which healthcare consulting companies pay around the same or more compared to Deloitte? Junior staff/consultant level.

Hello! I am graduating in the fall of next year with my B.S. in Accounting. I was offered a staff accountant position to start immediately at a small firm in Central Florida. The salary is $52k per year with decent additional benefits. Is this a good entry level salary?

Is $75K not enough for a staff tax accountant?

I have difficulties finding one. No CPA required, 100% remote, decent health insurance; and no one is biting. Two main requirements: understanding of income/franchise tax and good Excel (ideally - Power BI and or Alteryx). Does our recruiter suck or do we have unrealistic expectations?

Deciding between Deloitte and EY audit staff 1 positions in the Louisville area. Pay and benefits are equivilent.

Deloitte has plenty of private clients, while EY has multiple public. What are the benefits of each?

EY-ers and KPMG-ers and Baker Tilly-ers… what’s your inside take on your firm and how they treat contract staff/seniors? If I’m picking samples all day and rolling workpapers for higher dollars - I’m in. If I’m an isolated in-charge with no resources/benefits getting stuck with the shitty of the shittiest clients/audits… I’m out. What’s the word?

Thoughts on the gaming industry? I’ve been approached by a fairly big developer for a Chief of Staff role. The industry is an exciting space, but I know little to nothing on pay, benefits, trajectory, etc. Any insight?

First offer! Any advice on making a decision?

Offer: 110 tc for a Sr role at a smaller florida Healthcare company. Currently run by PE, planned SPAC soon.

Current: staff 2, ~75k in data analytics in northeast.

I think the move will be nice and also it's a nice comp increase. However I'll be getting promoted soon, and worried that jumping to a smaller company will hurt future prospects. Thoughts?

After seeing a number of posts about assigning work to staff & providing clear instructions, should it be done verbally v written, note-taking abilities of staff, etc., has anybody thought about recording a call or video for this? I feel like this could be very helpful, especially if there's screensharing with the WP in question open and navigated (obvs close out chats, disable notifications, etc.). Immediate & future benefits. Also, recordings could be used to send to off-shore teams as well.

So I’m excited I have three pretty solid options 1. Being a trust tax manager at a bank ( I’ve done banking/trust world before)

Not sure if this has been discussed before, but what kind of health benefits do your firms offer? I’m at a small firm (<10 attorneys) and the firm covers all health insurance premiums for staff and associates (including spouse and family plans) and also covers half of our deductibles. We also get a fitness reimbursement up to $200 per month. Are those benefits standard across the industry?

Does consulting leadership see an existential talent “crisis” of sorts coming from covid? No travel has benefits, but we’ve never had so much churn before at the lower staff levels. No travel, points, and comped meals is basically associate payments that are no longer being paid out.

How is your medical system deciding how to vaccinate healthcare providers, nurse and ancillary staff for Covid 19? Ours seems to be worried about optics and prioritizing is unclear to many of us who completed the attestation and willing to get vaccinated. While the rest of the country have started to vaccinate, we have yet to start vaccinations until tomorrow.
