Got a KPMG FDD senior interview based in Cali. Any suggestions and tips (types of technical questions generally asked) are greatly appreciated :) really want the job

I know how the exact salary of the cohort of homegrown senior consultants at a B4 for the same role that I’m applying for. how much more should i expect for experienced hires for this same role with same YOE?

Got an HR screening (industry job S&P 500) last Wednesday and thought it went well - I was referred by someone who used to be senior in the company and she told me that she was going to schedule another interview.

I followed up last Friday morning and never heard back from her. Is it weird not to hear back from the recruiter a week after HR screening? Does her silence mean they’re not moving forward with my application?

I had a final interview with a partner and the recruiter wants to do a debriefing call. Im assuming it can be just feedback or another interview is needed? I don’t see it being a rejection via phone. It’s for a senior manager role at EY

First interview with CDs went AMAZING! 2nd interview with senior CW and AD is next. What should I expect the conversations to include? Is this my opportunity to get a feel for the day-to-day?

Question for those who are senior enough to have a say in recruiting decisions on your team — are the candidates you ultimately extend the offer to unanimously loved by the team? Or do you often have to weigh pros/cons of all the candidates w your team-members and settle based on others’ preferences? Also after how many interviews do you know you’ve found the right person for the job? Does HR ever say “just pick one!” if they feel like there’s no other option to present?

Just received an offer from a company (yay!) but have also been interviewing for another (more senior) in-house position. I know there is at least one more round of interviews remaining for that position. What do I say to the initial company so that I can finish interviewing with the second company? What is an acceptable amount of time before accepting/declining the first offer? I would really like to see if I get a more senior offer, but don’t want to lose the initial offer.

Anyone ever got a referral from a senior staff at a bigger consulting firm but not received an interview? Is it worth trying another route into an interview or should I just pack up and move onto the next opportunity?

About to get promoted at PwC from Associate to Senior Associate (mgmt consulting). I interviewed at Deloitte for a Consultant position, but they’re potentially giving me an offer for BA. I’d essentially be holding out on the promo until next promo cycle. Usually, I’d understand hiring at a level below for higher levels but I feel like doing a 3rd year as a junior might not be the best decision. Should I push HR for Consultant level? I haven’t gotten the official offer letter yet, just verbal.

Is there a salary difference between a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A and a Senior Accountant? Assuming you have the same amount of accounting experience when applying for each position.

Final round at Salesforce (Senior Manager, strategy role). It's with the team leader and hiring manager. Already completed my 4-round behavioral with team and case presentation.

1. What can I expect they will ask in this stage? Behaviorals? Technical?
2. What are some good questions to ask them? Should I look at the 10K and ask about initiatives and how they impact overall firms growth? Acuisitions? Team functionality? All ideas appreciated here.

I have been referred for a job at a S&P company by a person who used to be senior in this company. The HR reached out to me for an interview but I realized that the others candidates for the job have more YOE than me (~2/3 more YOE). Do I still have a chance of getting this job?

Got an offer from a boutique consulting firm in New York. Currently an Analyst up for promotion this June. Current pay is $85k and the offer is for $116.5k for a Senior Consultant role. I will be doing same work. FSI and banking client will be working on Data Transformation projects in Reg. Should i take the offer? PROS/VONS? I am a Permanent Resident to visa is not an issue. Curious on the industries thoughts on people who over sell themselves in the interview process for a senior level position and when they get the job it becomes clear they don’t actually know how do the work. If you are a supervisor what are your thoughts in this instance? How long do you give the person to “figure it out”? When I spoke to the recruiter, she said she would consider me for a Consultant role (which is the same level as my current level at Accenture, at KPMG they start at consultant, at Accenture we start as analyst). I never got the chance to interview with MBB (never even applied) but I’m confident I would have performed well (after receiving multiple boutique offers). Most of these are senior level positions, so interviews were tough. Didn’t get the job for one or the other reason. Finally accepted a offer with a large tech company. Keep on trying..

Stuck and need advice. Had been gearing up for a 3 day arbitration. I've done 70% of the work and senior partner just started stepping in as the hearing got closer. Also have my final interview for a new job this week and was told I'll have the offer. Plan was to put in notice, 2nd chair the hearing then start new job. Today, arbitrator postponed the hearing but without setting a new date. Want the new job, but feel bad leaving partner to do arb at some unknown point in the future. Thoughts?

Got feedback when I was talking to a recruiter internally for my company (UHG) -- I do internal strategy consulting and they refer to me as a senior manager but my title in the system is senior project manager...

Applying for a new role within the company and switching job families. Said that the title is a hang up for them although they really like my background and work.

How has the „fake it until you make it „ worked out for you? The amount of people I see at some positions with high titles and compensations without the according knowledge is crazy. In my company we have several „senior“ in x or y. But I am the one who is teaching them the things they are supposed to be senior at. I have a few interviews coming up and Im just thinking to start making up stuffs 🤦🏾‍♂️

I had a second round interview for an industry job this week and it went well. I am hopeful I might get an offer from them. However, i am currently starting a large client audit starting next week and I’m the only senior on the job. Do you think it would be bad to leave as this new client is starting?
