Am I in the wrong here? I had an internal interview directly after a virtual social event so I showed up dressed in a suit. When my coworkers asked why i am leaving a gave an honest answer about how I love working with customers and the days without customer calls and working 10 hours straight are just exhausting. Someone from that call passed that on to my senior manager and I just had a really uncomfortable call with my SM about being negative and demoralizing the team.

What do you think of applying for different senior level positions (SD/VP) at the same company? They are completely in a different area but I have enough experiences to tweak my resume and make it sound like I’m a good candidate for both. It’s relatively a small company (~500 employees). I’m afraid doing so would make me look like a generalist or I’m fabricating my background, especially since at this level, they look for a SME.

How does one get into Big 4 Transactions/Financial Due Diligence out of undergrad? I'll be a senior next fall with a 3.8 GPA as an Accounting & Finance double major applying for full time positions. I'm in Beta Alpha Psi and have a public accounting internship under my belt. What are my chances? Should I apply for FDD roles next fall, or should I spend a couple years in audit and then transfer service lines? Thanks!

Some recruiters are f**king clueless. I made it clear what my salary expectations are and then they try to push me into this staff accountant position paying 60k, which would be a 5k pay cut and I have 2 years exp about to be promoted to senior. Now she's giving me the runaround how I won't get a senior position in industry after I've told her I had interviews for senior positions already paying 85k+

Has anyone recently (and I mean very recently, last 2 weeks haha) gone through EY's new hiring process that involves playing games/answering questions by recording yourself, on the hirevue platform? Fellow SF techies - I’m a senior Salesforce consultant/Delivery Manager with 5 years of SF implementation experience and 9 years of IT. 4 Certs. Implemented at least 8 enterprise projects. Interviewing for a PM role at Apple. Been through 4 rounds now and I my final round is a 45-min convo with a SR Director for the group. Any fish out there have advice on what I should expect? Happy to hear insights specific to Apple or just final convos with senior leaders for reference

Recently interviewed for a senior UI design job and was tasked to do a skills test - to look into their product and find areas of improvement.

The more I do the task, the more I feel that I’m doing a free design audit. Furthermore, they reposted the ad.

In my task, must I proposed a new design or would it be just a list of areas of improvements? How many is a good number of finds? Currently, each area is coupled with a write up and what competitors are doing.

How flexible is it to work across different service lines and practices within PwC OWT? Told it was flexible but depends. Interviewing for a Senior Associate role.

Was told before the last round I just completed that it would be the last round (basically involved a case presentation to sr leaders within the group). Heard back from HR that they’d like to schedule me for one additional round with an even more Senior Director from the team. Advice for a college senior? My sister has a 3.99 and extracurricular involvement at UMD, but her junior internship plans were derailed due to the pandemic. She’s been applying to entry level programs or roles in marketing and editorial, but a lot of them require prior internship experience in the space, which she wasn’t able to get. My degree is EE. Amazon had an opening for an entry level Control Systems Engineer, and so I applied. I got an email back from recruitment saying the team was pleased with my resume and that I’ll be hear back soon to schedule an interview... but for a Senior Software Engineer position, which my resume does not match. I replied letting them know that wasn’t the position I applied for. I check the Amazon jobs site and my application was “no longer under consideration”.

I’m a product marketer looking to switch into PM. I’m in the interview process for a senior PM role, but the product is not that exciting and I’m a little concerned the company is stale (it’s a legacy product and the company has been around for a while). Would it be worth it to get the PM title? (Alternatively, I’m considering taking a senior PMM or even PMM director role at a series A startup and then making the move to PM later on.) what’s the better move here?

Compensation sounds like it’s pretty even... with the exception of 401K match which is underwhelming at Deloitte for your first few years.
