How to get remote work in sales (person with non tech sales and account management background) when you have decades of work experience but live in a tier 2/3 city.

I am joining EY next to next week, very nervous as i have not accepted any change since 6 yrs...i am overthinking on what and how much of effort will they require from me? will they won't offer WFH? Will they fire me incase here is a cost cutting measure etc. Any thoughts how to suppress this negativity?

Companies wants there employees to be back to office. IT professional needs relocation to metro cities like Bangalore ,Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Pune since all the companies have majority of offices in these locations. These cities are already grappling with there own issues like pollution, high traffic, water problem, less work life balance. Why not the companies allow WFH or open micro offices in tier 2 cities. So that employees of the nearby region can join from there.

I applied for a remote job with Humana one month ago. My application status currently says “interview in progress” but I haven’t had an actual interview yet. Should I expect to receive an interview soon? Also, does anyone have experience working with humana remotely?

HELP! Company wants me to move to the US for a Remote role - Is this reasonable? Hi, I'm moving through the stages for a Remote US role as a Canadian candidate. They mentioned if I were to be offered, expectation is I'd move to the US. I find this odd as the role is Remote but guess it's legal purposes. Good thing is, this comp also has a Canandian office BUT they said bringing me on through the Canadian office is not smth they do.

Having trouble with leadership sticking their nose too far into my features. I’ve been feeling like a project delivery manager lately and it’s awful. Everything they’ve stuck their nose in has ultimately failed and I am held accountable because i’m the PM. I CONSTANTLY voice my concerns but they push back and make me build it. I like the I can WFH here and work isn’t very stressful but i’m getting so sick of having my creativity squandered. advice?

Just scheduled a meeting to go over an offer for a Senior Engineer role. When asked what I would need to make in order to leave my current job, I said at least $160k depending on benefits (I know I shouldn't have given a number).

I make a little over $145k now, plus stock options, a monthly home office stipend (fully remote), and your usual health benefits.

Assuming their benefits are comparable to my current position, have I given up all negotiation power by providing the initial number?

Joined a fully remote company in Jan. I complained in a recent department meeting about recurring calls being scheduled at 5am Pacific time. None of the other West Coast people backed me up and instead said things like “try going to sleep earlier.”

Is this normal?

Evaluating 3 options (all quite different):
A) FAANG L6 bizops: TC 330K
Pros: WLB, remote flexibility/no travel
Cons: Trajectory $450k+ is not clear/reachable within 3-4 years, mundane work / low intellectual stimulation
B) T2 PE Value Creation/ODD SM: ~TC $380k
Pros: great team, interesting work/space, growing team/investment area, remote, growth trajectory to $500+TC (aiming for P)
Cons: bad WLB (esp pre-deals)
C) MBB PL/EM: ~TC $380k
Pros: brand, growth trajectory (same as above)
Cons: wlb

3rd year Associate

I have an opportunity working on policy at FAANG in “JD preferred” role, growth area.

TC drops ~25%, but with equity upside.
Hours 40-50/wk
Fully remote

I’ve been trying to make the jump out of public accounting into industry. I don’t have many opportunities in my area so it would have to be remote. I have applied to a ton of senior accountant roles at all the big insurance companies since I’ve heard they have good WLB, but haven’t heard back.
