It’s just made me realize that all I used to do was hang out with him and work. Now all I do is watch tv and work. I can’t get motivated to do anything and I think it’s really affecting my performance at work. I just feel so lonely
I broke up with my boyfriend earlier this year and I was feeling really lonely and depressed after a while because I spent all my free time with him. I ended up joining tinder to talk to new guys and since I wasn't looking for anything serious it was perfect for me. Depending on what you're looking for, there are apps or dating sites to meet new people. Or hanging out with friends during your free time helps too! I'm the only single person out of my friends so that's why I went to tinder.
Have you tried doing something else? Like picking up a new hobby ?
Start small and date new people, even if it just one date here and there. Give it time, the pain will ease and you WILL find the perfect person. Do not conform yourself to others timelines
Step 1. Therapy so you can put the emotional stuff on the professional and not your friends or family who aren’t equipped and mean well but don’t help the healing process though they try. Step2. Every month go on at least one date.If using an app than make it with someone you have had a conversation with on text and you have portrayed yourself and a honest way. (ie. don’t pretend you love football if you don’t). step 3. If you are insecure than change one thing about yourself every month. (ie. get better at cooking, workout, learn how to do something from a make up tutorial) w/e u suck at and want to improve. It’s hard to just do these things without dredging up your emotional stuff. But when it comes up do to therapy and talk about. I swear this was the easiest way to gain my own independence from my ex and to be ready for someone new. A happy you attracts better things than a miserable you. Good luck.
I would do two things. Take up a sport, including ballroom dance, and write every day, write whenever emotion comes up, whatever comes out, as long as you are in pursuit of your life aims. Then writing your thoughts and deep seated emotions is a good way to learn what's going on deep inside, it's access to the unconscious more than dreams. It's more than catharsis, it's Awakening of consciousness. Funny that Auto capitalized. Yeah but I mean, pardon the politically incorrect utterance, but women have a clock and most women desire a family with a good man before it's too late. You're wired that way. I too want a family so I have to fulfill certain tasks before that happens. It's possible to make mistakes in life and suffer the consequences. We're taught to brush everything off. Regret is real. There are directly consequences for bad acting. Anyway the best way to gain awareness is by writing whenever there's any kind of internal emotion, and then dancing or art or sport or hobby as well as good finances, health and fitness and friends, they all complete the package, with aims and with a determination through self analysis through writing primarily to become the best person you can be.
Do you want to try that relationship again? Or is it better that you move on?
Finding other activists to occupy my time helps. ClassPass for various workouts, zogsports for meeting new ppl and playing a sport, using bravo awards for the spa, self care, meditation, creating new routines.
I want to try Again but he’s moved on
Have you tried online dating?
Been there done that. If he has moved on you must move on. There is something wonderful around the corner if you just love yourself enough to be brave. Journal all your thoughts. Then throw it in a fire. Everything you want to say to him to close the door. Good luck. You got this. 😉
