I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.

Oh, yeah. PIPs are typically a way for management to think that they're kindly telling you to look for a new job.
Happens a lot trust me! This is how they justify letting you go. They will make the PIP goal soooo unattainable that you won’t come from underneath it. You have no way of fighting it because again you didn’t meet your goals that they set so it’s justified… soo bye bye I’m a POC and it happened to me not long ago. Not all companies are like this but you will recognize it immediately when it does happen .
Did you fight back at all? I'm thinking of filing a complaint with the labor department.
I fought back and got myself an extra 30 days but I took advantage of that 30days .. trust me. Again , if you don’t meet the PIP how are you going to say it’s unjustified . Is it really worth fighting for? Sales jobs are a dime a dozen now so why stay in a toxic environment? If they taking revenge out on you now it won’t stop. Your best bet is to beat them to the punch and just find another job !!!
I've seen it happen. Everything has the potential to be used wrong and PIP is an easy one.
No company that I worked for has using PIP to fire anyone. I think your manager is just pissed at you. Not sure however, if he intends to outright fire you or not.
Yeah I know they're angry at me. But I'm sure the endgoal of the PIP is for them to say ur fired because u don't perform. That way they don't have to pay me employment or get into legal trouble (I'm in CA).
