Okay I never ever post here but I can’t ignore this. Please get help. It takes time to heal but that time is easier and more effective if you see someone who specializes in trauma recovery. I am seeing an EMDR clinician and it is working for me. I get triggered very easily by behaviors that occur a lot on my team that most people don’t even notice. You owe it to yourself to dedicate the time and money to recovery, and most importantly, you DESERVE it.
EMDR was very effective for me to work through trauma as well.
it takes years and years for trauma to heal. start the work now.

Agree it takes years and be kind to yourself. I’m going through this too and find that a holistic approach really helps. I changed my diet, meditation, practice catching my negative thoughts and look for the positive instead, thankful of what you have instead of what could happen or what you don’t have helps me. There’s a lot of meditation out there right now. I started with the science of it and the benefits to help my brain accept it. Dr. Joe Dispenza has a show Rewired on Gaia that is sometimes free to watch during their promotions. Also the movie Heal on Netflix. Wish you all the best
