Currently a Solutions Consultant at Pegasystems.
I am interviewing at and considering making a jump to Oracle as a Specialist Solutions Consultant.
The reason for my move is currently at Pega SCs are treated more as AEs or Account Managers. The role at Oracle would be more of a true SC position. I also feel that Oracle will look BETTER on a resume and someone as young as me would have BETTER programs in place to train me and give me the foundation needed to be a successful SC.

Obviously closing deals, but also: AEs wanting you on their deal, prospects asking where you are if you aren’t in meetings, prospects asking advice about implementation or other topics from you outside of the selection process, you struggling to get out of the project delivery because the prospect (now a customer) loves you so much

I recently had a potential client ask me to coach their daughter in preparation for an interview. I’ve only met them one time in my life. That one made me feel like a pro haha.
I think the obvious answer is closing deals, but honestly I’d say being able to deliver demos that I feel are up to my standards to a client that’s interested in the product, and working with a great team to do so. Sometimes I get sales when I don’t expect it and losses vice versa, but overall so long as I think my team’s delivering to the best of our ability I’m happy

Every single time there’s a reason my customer didn’t sign has been because of price, not because they didn’t like the demo/product.
I had a prospect wanting to write me into the contract as a specifics SME. They have continued to reach out post sale for advice.
