Anyone hiring at the experienced associate or senior associate level for any supply chain consulting or industry positions?
2.5YOE and was recently laid off from a startup due to lack of business need.

Do you have to return the sign on bonus if you get laid off, sign on period (2 years) has not yet passed. I would also like to know the firm's severance policy.

I’m getting anxiety from work. I’m replacing a senior manager, I have 3 YOE. 2 weeks onboarding but I still don’t feel ready. Working 50 hours a week at least and client is demanding. Tomorrow is the first day leading with client and they’re all senior managers and up. I took on the project since I was on bench for 3 weeks and got paranoid. I want to roll off but this is a diamond client and the firm is careful about every resource. If I roll off I’m scared I’ll be laid off. I’m so stressed.

Has anyone here everyone stood up for themselves or someone else on a internal call with their director/partner? Like if they were bullying someone? Curious to see what happened after or if that is something that can get you fired. Our director is a bully to others and if they ever come at me I’m going to stand up for myself but wondering if breaking the professional boundary is worth it.

What should I do?
I left a big 4 (company 1) joined another company after (company 2). Then once I joined company 2, another offer came in which was really great from company 3; took it and company 2 was happy for me. I still have really good relationships at company 1 however the partner I worked for is spreading rumours and lying to people saying I got fired from company 2. Best part is that I called him before I joined company 3… what can i do in this situation?

I started at IBM 3 months ago and have had huge amounts of idle time. I am wondering if this is normal for IBM and whether others have turned around and left as a result? I have an external offer and want to take it but I’m worried about perception of leaving so quickly. I’m getting worried as my utilization sits around 50% and I would rather leave than getting fired. I have received an offer from Deloitte for ‘Project Delivery Senior Anlyst’ position on some technology preferred provider program. It is hire in advance , that means I should get project ‘after joining’.

I have heard PDM is like contract worker, you can get laid off once project ends(just 2 weeks bench). How true is that/how risky it is to join PDM?(considering I am in US on H1B)

What would a company’s rationale be for announcing layoffs just before the holiday??

I am an analyst. To be honest, I feel like I am sinking, and everyone knows it. I was not an Econ major in college (poly Sci) , and I am new to excel. However, I feel like I am constantly thrown into the deep end, and no one wants to help me, answer my questions, or help guide me through asks. I was under the impression that this would be a teaching environment. Worst feeling when you feel stupid, and you know that everyone else thinks you are stupid too. Will prob b fired.

How to plan career to be recession resistant? Afraid of being laid off next recession, especially if I exit to a cushy, low-value industry job in a cyclical industry.

In all these exit / employment discussions l, I never hear people talk about recession-resistance as a metric. Am I unique in worrying about this?

Serious question: how difficult is it to get straight up fired from big 4? Outside the layoffs last year, I have personally never seen anyone let go for any reason. There's always some PIP or transferring projects or some long review process that never goes anywhere. Anyone have any insight or stories? Just looking for some perspective.

M/SM and above, why do you label a meeting as “touch point” or ask if you can have a “quick chat” when it’s something serious? Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title. But at my new job, my boss asked for a “quick chat” to literally ask me to change the title of a meeting and then chat about christmas. Now that I’m in management, I want to understand it better.

For the past 2 years I’ve been scrambling for digital projects at Accenture and even took management and data projects (neither I was qualified to do, but the teams needed help) to avoid too much time on the bench and getting fired- I’ve been working for almost 4 yrs but I only just got a 20% raise to $85k. When I see people here talk about making way way more for less experience, I wonder if I’m being underpaid. And how would I start a negotiation for a raise or look for other opportunities??

One of my juniors, a 2020/21 MS grad on H1B, was laid off this week due to org restructure. He now wants to reach out to the org where he did his internship but at the time had turned down their job offer. What is the best way to approach this? 60 day clock is ticking.
