It’s one thing when customers are rude to you - we expect this. They are customers, after all.

The truly disappointing thing is when the RMs/AEs are verbally abusive. It’s really enraging when an RM, who probably makes way more in a week than I do in a month, condescends to me when I can’t solve their inquiry in under five minutes (when they’ve given me less than half of the info needed to troubleshoot their issue). Anything to close the sale, I guess.

Can anyone relate?

I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult. Is this normal?

I am only 4 months into being a surgical coordinator. I love the position itself however I am struggling to adapt into my new work environment. My previous manager would track us by hours daily, made a fuss everytime anything stretched and guilt us for that and the unplanned leave too unless it was COVID. Hinted him a lot of time, this is problematic but apparently he considered it "standard practice for agile".

Now 8/10 teammates have switched within < 1 year of project start (6-7 months with him) which tbh had good work in our opinion and even team was fun to work with even though none of us ever met in person.

Anyone deal with this before: I inherited a severely under developed team including a sr analyst who clearly was doing the bare minimum, if that. Over the last 6 months I have had to coach him and correct simple mistakes in his work and recently it got so bad that I told him he would receive a low rating in his evaluation. He lashed out, involved HR saying he doesn’t understand why, and now my review points out stuff that I would have let slide.
