I’ll get on mine during lunch or a break, but try to keep that brief. It’s always easier to look at others, or you kid, and think they are on the phone too much, but in reality you are on just as much if not more then them. Something I’ve been trying to keep in mind lately myself. My screen time stats were eye opening to say the least.
I had no idea the screen time stats were a thing until a few months ago. It blew my mind! Definitely also trying to set a better example now.
Yeah I feel like people really have such a misconstrued idea of their own phone usage (myself included). It's easy enough to notice when someone else is on their phone all the time, but it's like we go into a state of amnesia when we ourselves are using our phones. I try to keep my phone in my desk all day, with the exception of briefly checking it at lunch. I want to be a good example to my students and not be hypocritical
I feel the same way! And it definitely does not help our case with students if they see us on ours all the time. It's just so addictive.
I don’t even look at mine unless I get a text or a call. I don’t have a free second and I am not that into my phone anyway.
That's amazing! That is where I am trying to get to with my phone usage.
I don't get to check my phone all day, but my paras are in their phone all the time.
