Exit opp: Small T2 Ops group, Manager,180k base, 30-70k bonus, growing practice

T2 benefits are slightly worse, WLB will be worse, but likely more interesting work.

I have never been a manager.
My job title is "software engineer".
I have worked at multiple FANG-level companies. Currently at a FANG.
I work between 30 and 35 hours a week.
I am remote and can work from anywhere in the US.

For precision I will use my 2021 W-2 gross and include my company's 401k match.

However when the pandemic hit, I ended up in managed care/insurance side. I'm interviewing for a project manager position at a place that provides support for a prominent Bay Area tech company. I was approached by a recruiter from Planet Technology. The role is a 6 month contract, with the possibility of extension.

What's the minimum hourly wage I'd need to make in order to live comfortably and afford health insurance in San Jose? I'm 30 years old w/out kids. My husband is currently unemployed so this is assuming that I'm supporting us both.

Hey y’all need help evaluating and gathering ideas for a counter offer. For context I’m a manager 8 YOE at mid tier not big 4, but top 10) firm doing digital transformation consulting. Got an offer from a start up (series D, unicorn)

Role: enterprise architecture
Base: $155k
Equity: $50k over 4 years (1 year Cliff at 25%)
401k: no match

This brings TC to $167.5k per year which feels low to me as I was expecting much closer to $200k for TC. I’m ok with the base but equity seems low. Thoughts?

United Healthcare fishes, does anyone have any salary insight to Manager of Data Analytics? I’m interviewing next week with a recruiter and compensation will come up. I also would like to ask how to approach this one additional issue. Seeing as it’s the end of January, if they’re looking to fill the role prior to March, it would mean I walk away from my current employer’s bonus which pays out in the 2nd week of March. I’m expecting $20k. How do I go about asking for a one time starting bonus?

Just got my first exit opp offer and I’m pretty bummed. Currently a Deals Analytics advisory manager at PwC.

Wondering how you guys would approach this.
Also starting an interview process with EY Parthenon for a role where I asked for 200k and they didn’t blink.
