Is it a good exit opportunity for B4 audit senior manager to go work for the PCAOB? Benefits sound nice but not sure what the path of progression is over there.

EY Canada or Cognizant Canada.
Both offering same money same position- Manager. Work at EY(PAS)would be technology agnostic. At cognizant(oracle practice) it would core oracle consulting.pls share your thoughts. Does any one know about their benefits?

Looking at a Facebook people strategy role and wondering if I’d have a higher chance at getting a first round interview if I was referred by a FB recruiter in a different department? I have another friend who is a FB benefits manager but he says 9/10 referrals of his don’t get one. Thoughts?

I need to become a Media Manager/Planner/Buyer over night.—— Non-profit has 20-30k budget to inform ppl of certain gov. benefits in one state. I know social ads, but where can I learn optimal budget allocation? SEM? Freelancer workflow? (Client knows I'm winging it from day one).

Would appreciate some career advice. Currently a Manager in Corporate Strategy with a broad focus across multiple BU’s. Have a potential opportunity for a promotion to a Sr. Manager role (10-15% raise) focused on Healthcare strategy. Curious to hear opinions on 1) pros and cons of focusing on the healthcare space for a strategy career and 2) whether it makes sense to take the promotion even if not as interested in the industry for the sake of faster career progression/more $$.

What does "Consulting Technical Manager" at Oracle Inc translate into into level - M3 , IC4 ? Also what will the indicative RSU will be ? Trying to negotiate an offer - Base is approx $175K + RSU. Are there any other perks or benefits I should demand ? I was told joining bonus is embedded into RSU vested over 3 or 4 years. Appreciate any inputs.

Best exit for experienced Healthcare FDD manager? Ideally looking to maximize WLB, while maintaining relatively competitive compensation.

Interested in getting others perspective here. Senior consultant but received an offer in healthcare industry for more money and an upgraded title. TC for the offer is about a 25% increase, with the base being higher than my current TC. Currently working on a high profile client and have a decent chance of being promoted to manager next year but will probably go through hell this year to get it and it’s not a sure thing. Should I take the money and run?

Rate my offer:

Currently a generalist manager at B4 strategy at $200k base, 20% bonus. 2 yoe post MBA.

Offer is at a series A startup in the Healthcare AI space. Series A funding was at a post money valuation of $20M. They have customers and are post revenue. Current offer is $170k base, 20% bonus, 0.5% equity in an S&O role that includes some BizDev.

Is it appropriate to ask about the comp/benefits the partner group makes at a regional consultancy I’m interviewing with (top 30)? At B4 I know I’d start around 300k in my practice, great pension, etc. Obviously it depends on growth of the firm (300mil rev last year, projecting 1B by 2026) but I’m just not sure how to go about it. I’m already a senior manager so just don’t want to join somewhere with not much room for growth even if I do join partnership.

Got the following offers on the table:

1. Big 4 - Manager, $180k + $20k sign on, told a good expectation is 12-15% bonus next year. 1.5% 401k match and 3% pension contribution. First year cash would be around $225k
2. New, well funded advisory arm of an established business - Engagement manager, $210k, 20-25% bonus. 2.5% 401k match. First year cash closer to $250k

Big 4 is a defined path with history, reputation, and exits. Other place is largely unknown but a lot of comp.

What do you think?

I currently am a senior in a specialized healthcare consulting function. I received a job offer which is less glamorous as a project manager @ a hospital organization. It could help me support my work life balance as I plan to go back to school.... is this a down grade? Is it worth it? Will it keep me out of other consulting jobs? Open to thoughts.

I was recently offered a Senior 3 position at EY within GSP in a tier 2 city. Starting base salary is $130k with a signing bonus of 6k. Really just seeking guidance on what I can reasonably negotiate regarding salary, signing bonus, and other benefits. I have 6 YOE and was initially interviewing for a manager position. I was offered S3 as a trial year to become acclimated to EY's culture before being promoted to manager.

What is your opinion on GARP financial Risk Manager (FRM) certificate?

I am considering taking it (as I am FS Risk Consulting), but I am not sure if it really carries benefits. Apparently it is quite a tough study. Is it worth the time or should I invest my time elsewhere?

Manager here in Big4 consulting. I enjoy the people I work for, and have an amazing MD and the best flexibility. I should be promoted to SM shortly. I don’t really care for my job but I don’t want to switch jobs b/c my situation is the best it will get (increasing salary and amazing work life balance). My plan is to stay at my company for the next 5 years, save money, get the employer match, and pension with no aspirations of making MD. Just me, or anyone else feel the same?
