Has anyone left as an audit manager for a controller position at a Bank or Financial Institution? What salary increase did you get? What are the hours/stress/benefits like? Are you happy with your decision? I understand there are many factors but I would love to hear from those who have made this transition.

Any thoughts on working at Charles scwhab? Saw a bunch of roles in internal strategy and sales operations based in Phoenix and Dallas.

Hi all, I wondering what I should do i was planning on taking an advance Accounting course in January 2021. Part of my company benefits is tuition reimbursement. I got an email back from my manager that was clearly drafted by the Director. The email basically stated that they were concerned that I was over working myself and the course would not be reimbursed at this time maybe in April that would be after they reevaluate the situation. My question here is should I be concerned I’m a target.

I am a project/program manager type with strategy and implementations exp, mostly in healthcare. I am interviewing for a solution architect role on Monday. Does this even make sense? I have an MBA and PMP.

The program manager role has been filled, but the recruiter insists I interview for a senior SA role. Should I pass? Don’t want to embarrass myself for lacking tech skills.

Transferring from US to UK. What are the standard benefits you get as a big 4 senior manager/director? Like phone? Car? Fitness allowance?

I'm a Senior likely to be promoted within my group (consulting gods willing) to manager at EoY. I make enough as is for bills and lifestyle, but not maxing out 401k kinda cash. A position within my company but outside my group that I'm very interested in just opened up.

Asking to transfer, in my mind, would likely delay/remove the chance of a promotion, but moving would be more interesting work that I want to do.

What would you do?

Had a final round interview (3 1-on-1s and one panel presentation) with a healthcare marketing company today for a manager position. Was asked about why I’ve left previous jobs every 1.5-2 years and how they could know that I would stay longer this time. I addressed my past and why this new position interested me, but wondering how others have dealt with this question? The way the question was positioned rubbed me the wrong way but I’d decided to just see how far I could get in the process.

Two offers..
In growth tech company-Sr Manager, $290K vs in health care company-Director, $315K. This is total comp including RSUs and both are in SF Bay Area. I have always been with tech companies so wondering if moving verticals is worth the extra incentive. The role will be in the sw unit of a healthcare company. What would you do?

Just received an offer for a internal consulting role at a healthcare firm in NYC. Offer seems low for someone who is already at a Manager level at a T2 strategy firm. What are your thoughts? Base: 180k Signing: 15k Target Bonus: 30k TC: 225k TC.

When do you stop interviewing after getting a verbal offer that you verbally accepted (it may not be the dream job but checks right boxes—comp, benefits, good company), but you haven’t received the formal offer letter? Two other companies want to move me forward in the interview process. I already told one that I’ve received an offer and they are trying to move up an interview with the hiring manager. The other knew I was expecting an offer and just asked if I can do a 2nd interview this week.

I made Manager this year at the age of 33 ( 8+ YOE, 5+ in MC) in Supply Chain (EP), erstwhile S&O. I don't see myself making PPMD before 42-43 realistically, unless other things derail that. Is it worth the hassle given many make PPMD at their mid-30s and get to reap the benefits for much longer? Or does it make sense to make a lateral move to the industry?

Currently make 120k base salary. Can probably get promoted to manager in next 6-12 months. What’s the minimum base salary you’d jump for? Assume similar benefits, bonus, and 401k match. Got an offer for $135k but don’t think that’s worth jumping for. I told the recruiter I could not leave for less than $150k. What do y’all think?

I rejected a startup a few months ago for a big TMT company but thought I made a big mistake since my current role was a huge discrepancy than what I was told. I reached out to the old hiring manager, went through interviews, got an offer but it’s lower than my original offer. Startup got acquired so I was actually hoping to ask for more $$ since my current job pays more & is more stable. Current job is better brand, $$ (40k more), benefits, stability but my role sucks. What do I do?

A startup I talked too couple months ago offered me a PM position. It pays 15k less and perks aren’t as good but relatively decent (100% healthcare, some 401k). Do I jump?

I’m going to be a dad! But I have some questions. When should I tell my manager/teams? I’m up for senior promotion this year, will this impact that promotion? For those of you that work in public what tips do you have for managing your work and family responsibilities? For context, my wife, once she’s done with maternity leave, will only work 25-30 hours a week. I know working in public and having a new born is probably going to be a lot to juggle, but I have to make it work.

An opportunity sort of fell into my lap and wanted to get other thoughts. Internal audit manager role, 100% remote, 20% base increase plus better benefits. I work on a lot of audits on the tax side so am familiar with audit. M4 in big 4, not sold on staying in tax. Would I be qualified and is this a terrible idea?

Manager 1 here. Need some advice. I have paternity leave soon but I am in the last stages of interviewing for a controller position for a 30k increase in base plus 15% bonus potential. Job kind of fell in my lap and it sounds like it’s mine to lose at this point. Wife supports me either way. What do y’all think? Have an offer to move to a Fortune 500 company as a finance manager and an offer to move to a small PE owned company ($200m in revenue) as a business strategy manager. Same pay. Small company has me working with CFO/CEO/PE firm directly and large company has more perks/benefits and more defined career progression. Which to take? I’m conflicted!

Revenue cycle management experience is a big plus. Not much ML used in the practice but I'm trying to change that.

Had dinner with a friend last night and they told me someone who is a Tax Manager in BTS at KPMG was leaving to take a job as a tax Director in industry making $175k + stock options. Not in a major city. Does that sound accurate on both (1) big 4 manager to tax director and (2) tax director in a smaller city making $175k + stock options and benefits? Managers in our office in BTS probably make $110k and that’s on the high end.

Love facebook but my end goal is product management and it looks near impossible to switch internally since I’m in one of their HQ offices and most of the roles are sales. Should I switch? Comp is 30k less at DSS and not as good benefits, I’d burn a bridge, and I’m happy at FB but scared of losing a good opp
