Hello All,
Having just BCA degree (normal college) and working in corporate from last 4+ years, current role Business Analyst with 17LPA package, can you please suggest if i can do MBA distance or not? Leaving job and doing full time MBA is not an option for me, so if Distance MBA can be done, please suggest few good colleges/institute.

I just started a part time MBA at a top 20 while working full time, would like to pivot into consulting. Preferably strategy, are there any skills you wish you had or anything I can do now to make me successful down the road ?

My friend is blaming me for not taking her bschool acceptance and choosing to stay in her consulting job where she’s at risk of being counseled out. I don’t think that’s fair. She asked me what my experience was like and I shared I found my mba to be average at best and wouldn’t have done it had I gone back. However she’s a smart person. She should realize mba is very different person to person. Is it fair to blame me whatsoever here?

PE Ops at a megafund, somewhat involved in operational DD, which i enjoy doing. Is there a pathway into an Investment team role within PE or even GE in the future? Would an MBA help?

Why do people from M7s tend to not do IB, but choose consulting post MBA? Seems like IB hires from Stern, Johnson, and other T15 schools

Many of my friends are currently going to a state school MBA program (no GMAT, or TOEFL required for non English speaker). They want to join MBB, Strategy&, Parthenon, or other strategy firms. Is this possible? They have little non-consulting experience. They asked me but i don’t know what to say. What do you suggest me to say? 😀

After getting your MBA and receiving a full time return offer, is it possible to get the firm/bank to pay for your MBA? Maybe instead of a sign on bonus, the company will pay for a portion of the MBA?

Feeling frustrated… got paired with a Kellogg MBA interviewer. Says recent class but absolutely zero digital footprint. No LinkedIn, nothing comes up on Google. Uses an obscure email. Don’t wanna go into an imp interview completely blind. Any tips? Should I ask AdCom for more info or is that a bad look? Interviewer is Chinese M if that matters (maybe that’s why name doesn’t pull anything?)

Not gonna lie, I think getting a FT MBA if you started at MBB or T2 from undergrad is a little silly and pointless unless it’s Stanford or Harvard

I’m looking to pivot into Data Analysis as soon as I finish my MBA in a few months. My undergrad is in Sociology. Most of my work experience is in HOA management, but I have recently moved to the home appraisal industry. I’m planning on getting my Google Data Analytics certificate but would appreciate any advice on what else I could do move me up the applicant list.

I have an MBA and a bachelors in comms with 3-5 years experience. What is the best of my 3 job options:
1. Director of Research for the state. 80k, 21 days PTO, 12% matching 401k, in office 1 day.
2. Senior communications Associate Jp Morgan Chase. 80k-90k sign on bonus up to 10k. 5% matching 401k, 28 days PTO, In office 3 days
3. Division Associate Communications/Engagement Manager for Kroger. 75k-85k performance bonus up to 10k, 3% matching 401k, in office everyday with later flex

Looking for some opinions here... currently working on the business side at BCG, 10 YOE, top MBA. Kinda sick of the slow pace of the business + lack of leadership in current org. I started the interview process to come in as a C2, but in the meantime, also interviewed with Apple for GSM. Both sound like a real increase in lack of WLB. More money in consulting. About the same to join Apple. I'm hoping to start a family in the next ~2 years so this could be too ambitious. Thoughts?

Would I be dumb to start a PhD?

I just finished my MBA. I’d never even considered my masters until my employer paid for it. My MBA helped me get a huge pay rise and I’ve just settled into a new role that I love.

I’ve just been offered a full scholarship for a PhD in a topic I am passionate about, already an active advocate for and with academics I sincerely admire. The topic is directly for a study I already contribute to every year.
