You're kidding, right?
The only dumb/stupid question is the one/s not asked. Be kind, not everyone is an expert interviewee! Some of us haven’t had a job interview in a hot minute and having to start interviewing for jobs again can be so disturbing/nerve-racking!
Use the Star method.
Describe a situation.
Tasks required.
Action taken.
Results achieved.
It shows the interviewer your ability to assess or strategize, execute a plan & produce results.
Think of ways you can demonstrate (show rather than tell) your skills, Anything that can be demonstrated with growth or acquisition I is always good for a sales role. Think meaningful, measurable metrics.
The story should start with the win and detail the process.
Good luck.!
Thank you so much hon, I appreciate you.
SO NOT A FAN OF HIREVUE!!! So stinking impersonal!!! But keep in mind that if these type of situational questions are on their hirevue…you can bet your bottom dollar that they WILL be asking situational questions in their actual live interviews!! So make sure to prep your self for past situations/events that could fit a variety of situational questions should you advance to actual interviews. And yes, prepping using the STAR method is is your best bet to be ready for these tough questions.
Thank you hon 😊
