Is Deloitte the only top firm to have layoffs? I heard this from my manager today and find it hard to believe

Just received a calendar invite for a check in with my manager who doesn’t normally do check ins. Recently been messing up and think I’m being fired and am having major anxiety.

Does anybody have advice on how to tell your manager you’re overwhelmed and ask for help? Since the big layoff, I am working like CRAZY and I’m going to LOSE IT

Info needed about Amazon ASAP. I applied for an Amazon Technical Program Manager role but the Amazon recruiter reached out to me for a Risk Manager role. What’s the pay like for Managers at Amazon. I’m currently a Deloitte Manager - Base is $144k. Should I even bother? I wouldn’t want to leave D for a lateral move. But...At this point I’m trying to hedge my bets against the impending D layoffs while not shortchanging myself. Thanks in advance!

In the S&O practice and have not been staffed since mid March. Since then been doing 50-60 hrs a week on BD (I’m a Manager for reference). Utilization was around 100% back in March currently 70%. Great reviews in Lead liked by colleagues etc. However the past few weeks have been quite depressed as I’m worried I’ll be laid off. Took a week off to take a mental break but can’t seem to relax at all (lockdown + lack of childcare isn’t helping) should I start updating my resume?

How do layoffs work if we’re all working remotely? For example: Does the direct manager and someone from HR do it? Does your computer stop working immediately? Do they ask you to mail your computer and ID badge in? Is it done via videoconference?
